One non-free cover is already present in the article. Per WP:NFCC, cover arts are non-free items and therefore must be used sparingly. This alternative is used for the "edit" of the song which has not attracted independent or significant coverage, it is not substantially different either in imagery to the original or in answer to the content and serves no purpose in adding additional commentary. It does not satisfy the conditions of use given "to identify the product or properly convey the meaning/brand intended" as this purpose is served by the primary cover present in the infobox. >> Lil-unique1 (talk) — 10:48, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: @Lil-unique1 I am a bit confused. here, you said that "The image released alongside the single is the album's artwork and doesn't belong to the single. Update: now that this "Yes, And?" bundle was released to Apple Music, therefore making the cover art in discussion not limited to the edit anymore, I feel a bit more strongly about keeping and renaming the file. Multiple non-free covers are NOT allowed per WP:NFCC UNLESS they add sufficient context. If the edit has received significant coverage or was very different then fair enough. WP:NFCC 3a; multiple non-free items are not permitted if one can convey the same information. its a single cover, there's one in the infobox, more than one isn't required. NFCC 8: contextual significance - there is none. The 'edit' bundle isn't sufficiently different or subject to critical commentary. My earlier comments about the original cover were releated to the fact that the artists said it wasn't the cover for the single it was the cover for the album. For NFCC guidelines, the cover art should represent the item/project. Album cover arts aren't used to in articles about singles/songs. • Delete - This cover has come into use on a later date after the release of alternate versions of the song, only on digital platforms. CDs, cassettes, and the original version's digital single all use the same cover as the album. Both images are similar and probably come from the same photoshoot so the inclusion of both on the song article does not satisfy the NFCC. Fans being upset the single and album share the same cover is not a reason to mislead readers.--NØ 22:42, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
• Keep and rename - Since the standard single cover for "Yes, And?" is the same as its parent album, the single's "edit" cover (which is also now used as a cover for the digital EP on streaming platforms) should be renamed to File:Ariana Grande - Yes, And?.png and used instead as the sole photo for the "Yes, And?" infobox. The photo currently at File:Ariana Grande - Yes, And.png should be renamed to File:Ariana Grande - Eternal Sunshine.png and used as the sole photo for the Eternal Sunshine infobox. • Keep, rename to "Ariana Grande - Yes, And?", and remove the Eternal Sunshine cover from the page (renaming that file to "Ariana Grande - Eternal Sunshine") per Your Power and Flabshoe1. This is the precedent for pre-album singles that use the album artwork (see Flowers (Miley Cyrus song), which was released with the album cover but the article uses an "alternative cover" for the main infobox).   Just to add another example, this is the precedent used by good articles like Green Light (Lorde song) as well. Other users who are suggesting deletion due to there being more than one photo on "Yes, And?" are failing to mention that the main single cover will not be used even if this alternate cover is deleted, since the main single cover is the same as the album's. • Oppose renaming - Grande is selling the cover people are erroneously referring to as the album cover as the cover of the single's CDs and vinyls. That image is clearly associated with the original version of "Yes, And?", whereas the album itself has many alternate covers. Current naming is accurate for both files. The edit's cover should be deleted per the NFCC as too similar to the original (and more notable) version's cover.   This comment is factually incorrect. The single cover is not "erroneously referred to as the album cover". It is clearly seen to be the standard album cover on digital and streaming platforms. Now, I think everyone here understands that this cover is also being sold as the main single cover on CDs and vinyls. No one is denying this. However, since is also the album cover, as the link proves, per NFCC the cover will only be used on the album page.

  Now, since the main single cover cannot be used on the single's page, rather than keeping the infobox blank the digital EP's cover is suggested as an alternative cover to use on the infobox per precedent of pages like Green Light (Lorde song). Flabshoe1 (talk) 14:34, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  Naming is accurate for this file ("Yes, And? (edit)"), but not for the file currently in use at the single and album pages ("Yes, And"). The "Ariana Grande - Yes, And" file should be renamed to "Ariana Grande - Eternal Sunshine" as it is the standard cover for the album and used at the album page only. NFCC suggests it must not be used on both pages. I argue that it should not be used at the single page because it is the album cover. While it is associated with the single (by being sold on the single's CDs and vinyls, as you mentioned), we must also acknowledge that it's also the standard digital cover for the album. Since the file currently named "Yes, And" should only be used at the album page, we can use the "Yes, And? (edit)" file on the single page. In any case, it should not be used on both pages.   I propose three solutions, each addressing the use of both files "Ariana Grande - Yes, And.png" and "Ariana Grande - Yes, And?.png (edit)" and their use on the pages "Yes, And?" and Eternal Sunshine:

  1. Delete "Ariana Grande - Yes, And? (edit).png". Remove "Ariana Grande - Yes, And.png" from the "Yes, And?" page infobox. Keep "Ariana Grande - Yes, And.png" in the Eternal Sunshine infobox. (no cover on the "Yes, And?" page)

  2. Delete "Ariana Grande - Yes, And? (edit).png". Keep "Ariana Grande - Yes, And.png" in the "Yes, And?" page infobox. Remove "Ariana Grande - Yes, And.png" from the Eternal Sunshine infobox. (no cover on the Eternal Sunshine page)

  3. Keep "Ariana Grande - Yes, And? (edit).png". Remove "Ariana Grande - Yes, And.png" from the "Yes, And?" page. Keep "Ariana Grande - Yes, And? (edit).png" in the "Yes, And?" infobox. Keep "Ariana Grande - Yes, And.png" in the Eternal Sunshine infobox. (single edit cover on the "Yes, And?" page, standard cover on the Eternal Sunshine page) (in this case, I propose renaming "Ariana Grande - Yes, And.png" to "Ariana Grande - Eternal Sunshine.png")
