Nonfree image is being used decoratively in a TV series episode infobox. The stated purpose "This will be the main photo of the article, featured in the Infobox" pretty much declares this fails WP:NFCC#8. Whpq (talk) 01:04, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This non-free image is being used in the infobox for an episode of Better Call Saul. The non-free usage rationale does not state a purpose; its just describes the scene. The image's use is decorative, and the removal of the image would not detract from a reader's understanding of the article. Fails WP:NFCC#8. Keep I've had to add discussion from a THR article that says how this scene is based on ancient Latin American cultures (Aztec/Mayan) and their concept of death. This was absent before and is needed for retention here. --Masem (t) 19:01, 30 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: Unclear copyright status. Noting for the record that I did some research on this myself and could find no reliable sources indicating that this is PD (i.e. this logo has been in use since the club's inception in 1918). I actually doubt it ISN'T PD as the club has existed since at least 1923. Such a logo would easily meet PD criteria. The current logo mentioned above is a derivative and should be labeled accordingly. Buffs (talk) 02:26, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This non-free logo itself is not the subject of sourced commentary in the article, and a free photo exists to identify the subject of the article (the skyscraper), thus the contextual significance criterion WP:NFCC#8 is not met per WP:NFC#CS. Wcam (talk) 12:42, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
