File:05--Pong-Su1.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Dbromage (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

The file is an image of the sinking of Pong Su involved in the Pong Su incident. However, the article focuses mainly on the drug trafficking involved by the ship instead of the sinking of the ship. Her fate is also adequately described under the corresponding subheading by text, in which contextual significance is doubted. The file therefore may violate WP:NFCC#8, and should be deleted. 廣九直通車 (talk) 07:22, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Fails WP:NFCC#8. The only thing this image shows is that Trent Reznor and Marilyn Manson appear in the video. This is already mentioned in the text and the non-free image doesn't add anything. -- Mike 🗩 14:10, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

GFDL and CC licence templates are contradicted by the claim in the summary that "THIS IS NOT PUBLIC DOMAIN - IT'S VALID FOR USE IN WIKIPEDIA ARTICLES ONLY", which would prevent free reuse. "Use in Wikipedia articles only" does not appear to be an option for an image hosted on wikipedia.org. Lord Belbury (talk) 16:48, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"believed to be free as no copyright information found ANYWHERE on the site" is not a reasonable conclusion to draw. No reason to assume that an image found online with unspecified copyright must therefore be GFDL/CC licenced for commercial reuse. Lord Belbury (talk) 16:53, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

File:Funkytown by Lipps Inc.ogg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Peregrine Fisher (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Audio sample of "Funkytown" may be insufficiently supported by critical commentary and may fail WP:NFCC#8. More likely used merely as identity of the song. How the song and its history would be less understood without the sample has yet to be clarified or properly explained. George Ho (talk) 22:23, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

File:Stavrovouni Holy Cross.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Tracymeted (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Sourced to the Russian and Greek Wikipedias. The Russian copy was deleted per criterion Ф4 which seems to be their version of our WP:F5 (implying that the file was tagged as non-free). Greek Wikipedia claims fair use. Stefan2 (talk) 22:30, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

File:Location of UAH on a partial US map (OSM).png (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Ntx61 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Unused, no foreseeable use. Stefan2 (talk) 22:32, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Stefan2: Thanks for bringing the file up for discussion. I have reinstated the map, replacing the (now deleted) File:Location of UAH on a partial US map.png with File:Location of UAH on a partial US map (OSM).png back in revision 915569891 after it was removed in revision 915329578. However, this has been replaced with a proper map module in revision 915571278, so the OSM image is technically considered unencyclopedic. Since I'm not sure if freely licensed images can be deleted for any reason whatsoever (besides the obvious ones), I just left the file up. Ntx61 (talk) 01:09, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
