The result of the discussion was: Keep as the current non-free logo. The old, probably free, image has been superceded. it doesn't seem to be used nor-needed. The orphaned version has been deleted and the current image appears to be the current logo of the lnked entity - Peripitus (Talk) 01:35, 6 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Original version uploaded on February 17, 2011 seems to be nothing but a text logo and, therefore, is a likely candidate for {{PD-logo}} or {{PD-USonly}}. The "new version" uploaded on November 24, 2015 by VitaleBaby seems to be a completely different logo, so I'm not sure if it should be treated as another version of the same file. Maybe it would be best to somehow split these into to separate files (if possible) because the "updated version" might just be above the threshold of originality and should remain as non-free. The new logo is the official one, and I am inclined to say that it's a non-free logo. The older logo is not creative enough for the US but it's dicey under Canadian law because they don't follow the (low) "sweat of the brow" standard but nor a strict (high) "originality" standard, from what I see. My recommendation would be to delete the second version for being orphaned non free and a duplicate of the third version and to either a) split out the first version as a separate file to tag as {{PD-ineligible-USonly}} for now or b) delete it as an unnecessary orphaned logo. The result of the discussion was: .....What a saga. A set of deletion discussions that resulted in delete, a second set that resulted in keep, no-consensus deletion review, and here we are again. I could have, but chose not to, sent this back into the the discussion maelstrom. My read of long term concensus is that we keep images local, at request, if there is a better reason than just hosting them here. That can include that they may be deleted on commons (FOP or copyright term issues) or some other purposeful reason. This is a followup to the deletion nomination at Wikipedia:Files for deletion/2015 October 17#Several files uploaded by User:Bedford, which was closed as delete all by TLSuda. Refer to that discussion for the deletion rationale; the above files are in identical circumstances but were mistakenly omitted from the original nomination. The problem with {{keep local}} files is that while policy says that they can't be deleted as Commons dupes under WP:F8, policy is silent on what we should do when a file is listed for deletion as a Commons dupe at FFD, and the outcome of FFD discussions tends to vary a lot depending on who's the closing administrator, which I think is problematic. I'd welcome a discussion at WP:VPPR or some other suitable venue on how to handle requests like this. --Stefan2 (talk) 14:59, 24 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I see you later uploaded File:Passport US.jpg, which is used on a lot of userpages...why keep these in addition to that one? Do you have a use planned for these minor variations?
