The Big Short is a 2015 American biographical comedy-drama film directed by Adam McKay and produced by Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, and Arnon Milchan. It was written by McKay and Charles Randolph. The film stars Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, and Pitt. Based on Michael Lewis's novel of the same name, the film chronicles how events during the United States housing bubble led inadvertently to the 2007-08 financial crisis. This is my third film accolades list I am attempting to promote, and I largely based the format off of the accolades lists for The Artist and 1917 which were promoted in October 2015 and November 2020, respectively.   • Fixed: Inserted the word "by" in between "produced" and "Brad".
  • "events during the United States housing bubble lead inadvertently" => "events during the United States housing bubble led inadvertently" (unless the past participle of the verb "to lead" is spelt differently in US English to the UK English I am familiar with)
  • Fixed: Changed "lead" to "led" (You are right about the grammar).
  • "After debuting at the AFI Fest on November 12, 2015, Paramount Pictures....." - Paramount Pictures did not debut in 2015 so this needs a slight re-arrangment
  • Fixed: Made some rearrangements and now included a theater count for the wide release.
  • "gave the film a limited release in eight theaters in eight theaters" - inadvertant repetition
  • Fixed: See above.
  • "The film received four nominations 73rd Golden Globe Awards" - couple of words missing
  • Fixed: Added the phrase "at the" in between "nominations" and "73rd".
  • "three, including Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Comedy, and Best Actor in a Comedy." - you say "including" but then list all three. Suggest a different word in place of "including"
  • Fixed: Replaced "including" with "for".
  • When sorting the table on the result column, "runner-up" drops to the bottom. Suggest it should at least sort above "nominated"
  • Fixed: Added a sort template to make it sort after winner and before 3rd place.

Overall, this looks really good. Here are some small changes to make:
  • The table's font seems to be shrunk slightly – is there any reason for that? If not, the font should just be at 100% size per MOS:SMALL.
  • Fixed: Removed style font size template at the beginning of table.
  • The nominees for the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture sort under "Christian", not "Bale".
  • Fixed: Added sort template to Bale for SAG Cast nomination.
  • The Casting Society of America nomination resulted in a win not shown in the infobox.
  • Fixed: Infobox now indicates win from Casting Society of America.
  • Critics' Choice Movie Awards has 7 nominations in the table but only 6 in the infobox.
  • Fixed: Changed tally in infobox from 6 to 7. Also updated Critics Choice count in the third paragraph.
  • Santa Barbara International Film Festival has 2 nominations in the table but only 1 in the infobox.
  • Fixed: Updated infobox count form 1 to 2.
  • Some sources aren't archived – it's probably a good idea to archive them.
  • For consistency, write out "Dallas-Fort Worth Film Critics" as "Dallas-Fort Worth Film Critics Association" in the table.
  • Fixed: Added "Association" to DFW Film Critics in table.

  • The picture lacks alt text.
  • There is an alt text description in the "alt1=" field of the infobox (it is underneath the "image_size" field and above "caption" field. Furthermore, according to WP:ALT#Importance of context, alt text shouldn't describe what kind of clothes the person is wearing or what action the person is doing unless this is a fashion article. I've used to do that for former articles, but someone pointed my errors in this previous FLC (see comments under FrankBoy fifth bullet point).
  • the 2007-08 financial crisis - write this out a 2007–2008 (note the en-dash, –). See MOS:DATERANGE.
  • Fixed: I used the article version of title complete with an en-dash using symbols template under special characters.
  • Would it be possible to make the date column a wider? On my monitor at least, almost every single entry has a linebreak because of this, nearly doubling the vertical length of the table. There is a lot of blank space in the recipients column, so shortening it for the sake of this shouldn't disturb the table much.
  • Fixed: Added style width to of 100px to Date of ceremony column. Now all dates should be one line only.

  • "biographical comedy-drama film" bit of a sea of blue here.
  • Fixed: Removed "biographical" because the film focuses on the events rather than then people behind the events.
  • And Box Office Mojo also puts it in the "history" genre!
  • Fixed: Added "historical" because the movie focuses on the events as a whole.
  • "The film made its debut on the final night of the AFI Fest on November 12, 2015.[..." according to the source provided for Box Office Mojo, its "earliest release date" was "January 14, 2015 (New Zealand)"...
  • Hmmm, that actually most likely is a dating error on Box Office Mojo's part. To back up my claim that this is most likely a mistake on their part, here is an article from the The Hollywood Reporter on January 14, 2015 (ironically the date that is in question), saying that Steve Carell was in negotiations to join the cast of The Big Short. Here is also an article from New Orleans ABC affiliate WGNO reporting on Carell being spotted out and about in New Orelans on May 10, 2015 during filming of the movie. So this means that the film obviously was not released in New Zealand on January 14, 2015. In fact, Carrell was in talks to star in the movie on the date it was supposedly released over there!
  • "surveyed 323 reviews" 325.
  • Fixed: Changed 323 to 325.
  • Dallas–Fort Worth has had an en-dash for quite a while.
  • Fixed: Replaced hyphens with en-dashes.
  • "Makeup - Feature-Length" en-dash here too.
  • Fixed: Replaced hyphens with en-dashes.
  • Some are Award and some are Awards, why isn't this consistent?
  • Fixed: Changed award to plural whenever possible.
  • Ref 61 needs an en-dash not a spaced hyphen.
  • Fixed: Replaced spaced hyphen with en-dash using symbols toolbox.
