This article is about the 39th President of the United States, born on October 1 1924 in Plains, Georgia. He served as president for four years from January 20, 1977 to January 20, 1981. He is still living as of September 30 2024. This article is already a good article, and I feel like being featured is the next step, coinciding with Carter's 100th birthday. - @EditorGirlAL07, generally it's only recommended that editors who have made major contributions to a given article nominate it at FAC, as they are expected to be able to engage in the process with a thorough understanding of the article, including its editorial choices and the sources it cites. As it doesn't seem this is the case, I unfortunately would strongly recommend you withdraw this nomination. Remsense ‥ 论 03:14, 30 September 2024 (UTC)
- Agree. EditorGirlAL07, can I suggest withdrawal before the @FAC coordinators: do a procedural close? - SchroCat (talk) 03:35, 30 September 2024 (UTC)
- I agree with both editors above. I began working on improving the article this month and I can assure that it's not up to FA standards, for now. Vacant0 (talk • contribs) 10:55, 30 September 2024 (UTC)
- I'll just point out that this was brought up on the talk page back in May, at Talk:Jimmy Carter/Archive 8#Thoughts on FA. GA-RT-22 (talk) 04:37, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- Closing note: This candidate has been archived, but there may be a delay in bot processing of the close. Please see WP:FAC/ar, and leave the {{featured article candidates}} template in place on the talk page until the bot goes through. Ian Rose (talk) 11:41, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
