- Well, you appear to be a superb vandal fighter; you might want to consider warning the vandals more however, in your contributions there are many reverts but very few warns. If you don't have it already I would recommend you get WP:TW which can help make that task easier. About non-admin closures; I would advise you to be more careful, with just a quick check I found two instances where you closed an AFD and and then got overturned.[1] [2] Also, remember to mark your minor edits, harmless changes such as these [3] [4] [5] could have been safely marked as minor. -Icewedge (talk) 04:05, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, previously I was using Vandalproof but for the past couple of months, VP has been disabled. VP made it easier for leave a warning. But then, there have been instances when disgruntled vandals have responded by vandalising my talkpage whenever I leave them a warning message. As for the edits, yeah, the first of those closures who links you provided was reverted and was the subject of a deletion review. As for the second edit, I closed the discussion and then reverted my own edit as I realized that there was a great deal of controversy involved in the discussion and it would be better if it were left alone for an admin to close the discussion. - Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- Each and every article that I had created afresh has provided me a certan amount of happiness as through these edits of mine I get the opportunity to share my knowledge. But then one such effort which has been special to me was the promotion of the article Iyer to good-article status which I achieved almost single-handedly.
- Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- Yeah, it does irritate me a bit when people tag my images for deletion or anonymous vandals keep repeatedly vandalising a page without paying heed to my warnings. Of vandalisms, the types I hate the most are POV stuff or introduction of obscene language. In the case of people who tag ruthlessly, I respond by contesting the deletion on the discussion page, politely yet strongly. With regard to vandalisms, I simply revert them and leave a warning to the editor. I have been a recent changes patroller for quite sometime now and I regard edits from anonymous IPs as ones regarding special attention. In most cases, such edits are constructive but sometimes they might involve test edits or introduction of obscene language. I take care to ensure that I dont revert edits unless I am sure that they are not even remotely related to the subject of the article. In case, I am not able to judge the connection of the edit with the article I avoid meddling with it.
