List of accolades received by Pavitra Rishta (history · last edit). The page was originally posted by User:Amoli Dave, a sockpuppet of a serial copyright violator, who apparently copied and pasted text from another Wikipedia article and then modified it slightly. The copied text is, of course, CC-BY-SA/GFDL but is not credited in the manner required by the license. The entire article was then speedily deleted by an administrator who was nuking all contributions from the sockpuppet. Today a new user, User:Twinkle Gupta, recreated the article in much the same form as when it was deleted. This has compounded the problem, because now not only are the original plagiarized Wikipedians not properly credited, but neither is User:Amoli Dave or any of the other contributors who subsequently modified the text. If this page is to be kept we need an administrator to retrieve the deleted version's contribution history so that proper credit can be left on the talk page. —Psychonaut (talk) 19:44, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The plot summary in the Wikipedia article is currently the same as in the forum post I linked to. The Wikipedia article predates the forum post, but both of them have been continually updated since their respective creations, so there must have been continuous copying between them in one or both directions. However, it's important to note that the user responsible for adding the material to Wikipedia is a serial copyright violator who uses sockpuppet after sockpuppet to add infringing material to Wikipedia; it's therefore more likely that at least some (and probably most) of the Wikipedia text was still copied from the forum post.
