Copyright investigations (manual article tagging)
As the copyright notice suggests, I created a temporary subpage here without the text causing the violation. I am currently waiting for an administrator or an OTRS agent to resolve this problem. It is my understanding that the current page should be deleted so that it can't be reverted to the original state, and be replaced with the temporary subpage. Please let me know if I can do this myself.– Elected 20:41, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I know we only need revision deletions of the revisions containing copyright violation for this to be fine. The temp text is copyright okay. Just have to hang on until a revision deleter comes by to work it. Fifelfoo (talk) 02:39, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the tag and text. An admin will be by shortly to WP:RD1 the needed revisions. It seems it may be restored in the future. Creating a temporary page is normally best if there is a large mount of text that was copied and pasted or close paraphrased. In such a case, it can be rewritten in someone's own words. In this case, you would only need it if you were going to rewrite the plot.--NortyNort (Holla) 08:41, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • I think it's probably okay. It looks to me like that source was actually a mirror of the earlier Wikipedia article. There is evidence of natural evolution in the deleted history. The article was G12ed as an infringement of [1]. I need to compare that source. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 00:42, 22 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Article cleaned by investigator or others. No remaining infringement. I thought it was a little too close, though possibly not rising to the level of copyright problem, and decided to help out. Punished for this by a computer crash that required a meticulous recrafting. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 02:30, 22 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
