- Bagan Pinang by-election, 2009 (history · last edit) from various sources. Almost every sentence of the article is lifted word-for-word, or closely paraphrased from, the cited sources. This article has arisen as part of this investigation. Mkativerata (talk) 01:27, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
- Also deleted redirect from Bagan Pinang special election, 2009. Not only was it a dead redirect, but behind it was content by this same entrenched copyright offender. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:36, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
- Four pillars of progressivism (history · last edit) from This is a partial answer to an exam question for a history course at an American university, which asks about the four pillars of progressivism. I am a teaching assistant for the course. The text of the "article" is lifted directly from one of the instructor's powerpoint slides from a lecture. The powerpoint presentation is only accessible online to students who are enrolled in the course; thus I am not able to provide a link here. However, I am recommending this article for speedy deletion.. AgentClio (talk) 02:35, 8 March 2010 (UTC)

- Pheidole purpurea (history · last edit) from the academic article Longino, J. T., 2009, Additions to the taxonomy of New World Pheidole (Hymenoptera: Formicidae)., Zootaxa (2181), pp. 1-90: 67-70., abstract available here, and description imported from plazi.org. Interesting case here where the esteemed authors of this article in BMC Research Notes argue that original descriptions of species are descriptions of nature, not a creative work and thus not copyrightable. Those associated with Plazi.org and its mission have been importing some of these descriptions as new articles (mostly the contributions of Gsautter (talk · contribs)), claiming their copyright arguments also apply to the use of the descriptions in Wikipedia. Could someone more knowledgeable come comment at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Biology#Direct copies of species descriptions from external website? Thanks. Rkitko (talk) 13:32, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
- I have blanked and the article and responded there. I'm relisting. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:17, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
