Keep and populate with Battle of Renfrew, Battle of Largs, Treaty of Perth and Lord of the Isles. A defined areas of land are usally confined to the territory of a state rather than an amorphous nation. Brabant and a few others would be exceptions. Better to have them with multiple measurable parents than with a single ambiguous parent. Laurel Lodged (talk).
