Nominator's rationale: Main article Near-Mars object is proposed for deletion as a neologism not supported by the sources. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 20:50, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: To standardise the NPC team rugby union player pages, removing team nicknames, which are a recent iteration, when many of the players in the category would have played before this. All other team player categories are at "TEAM NAME rugby union players".Rugbyfan22 (talk) 17:52, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Grutness, Yes I withdrew that nomination, decided this was a clearer more popular way to go. Rugbyfan22 (talk) 09:34, 20 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Per WP:SMALLCAT and WP:EGRS. This category has 1 article and is unlikely to grow. Moreover, Panamanian Americans are not a unique sub-group within professional wrestling. I suggest delete because Bobby Lashley is already in the relevant subcategory (Category:American sportspeople of Panamanian descent.) User:Namiba 14:21, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Non-defining and previously deleted. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 10:01, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, a far too common cause of death. Marcocapelle (talk) 12:29, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy delete as it has already been deleted after a discussion.--User:Namiba 14:22, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy delete per G4. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 20:18, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy Delete Clearly non-defining. - RevelationDirect (talk) 00:42, 20 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, There really is no need to be deleting this article for several reasons. While strokes can be a common cause of death, people who have died from strokes or cerebral haemorrhages are all just being crammed into the category page "Deaths from cerebrovascular disease". We need to be specific as to which type of cerebrovascular disease the subject has died from instead of just cramming it all onto that particular category page. The fact that it was previously deleted was a while ago doesn’t mean it should just be deleted again and the page should be given a chance to be improved once it is back up and the fact that the page has been described as "non-defining" doesn’t make any sense and is a matter of personal opinion. – 20SS00 (talk) 14:15, 25 June 2021 (GMT)
We actually do need more of a process to review old CFD discussions. The prior concern was that this cause of death was too common to be defining and, unfortunately, I don't think that has changed. - RevelationDirect (talk) 10:48, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well, maybe so, maybe not. But if you visit a majority of the articles in the category page "Deaths from cerebrovascular disease, not every single subject died from a stroke. Some have died from cerebral haemorrhages, cerebral infractions, etc. In fact, some subjects don’t have any cause of death listed in the biography section. I’ve also noticed that other users, other than myself, are beginning to add pages to the "Deaths from stroke" category page. – 20SS00 (talk) 20:32, 27 June 2021 (GMT)
  • Delete - a common cause of death which is not defining. We do not need to be specific as to which type of cerebrovascular disease the subject has died from - and its very rare that articles contain that information. Rathfelder (talk) 21:07, 28 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Whether a product is "cheap" or not is subjective; it will also vary from place to place. This is not amenable to a categorization system which tries to be universal. Good Ol’factory (talk) 05:21, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: delete. Good Ol’factory (talk) 03:35, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Per WP:NONDEFINING (WP:TRIVIALCAT, WP:OCASSOC, & WP:PERFCAT)
The Philadelphia Society is conservative American think tank focused sponsoring speakers and the annual membership is currently $125 per year, although you're required to attend a lecture to meet them first. These biography articles generally mention the organization but it's not usually for mere membership: Mel Bradford was president, Milton Friedman was a trustee, and Stephen Balch was a director. Even those higher positions get only a passing reference so it doesn't seem defining. Others conservative speakers are in this category because they gave a speech, creating a performance category. I created a collapsible list in the main article for any reader interested in the topic. - RevelationDirect (talk) 00:01, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Per WP:NONDEFINING (WP:TRIVIALCAT & WP:OVERLAPCAT) and WP:G4
National Puzzlers' League is a professional association of puzzle designers and game designers. Being a puzzle designer or game designer is absolutely defining which is why we already have Category:Puzzle designers and Category:Game designers. The membership isn't treated as defining in the articles: of the 15 people in this category, 9 mention this membership in passing and 6 not at all. Even for NPL's president, Trip Payne, the association is still buried in the body of the article. I listified the category contents right right here in the main article so no information is lost for any reader interested in the topic. - RevelationDirect (talk) 00:01, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
To be clear: "National Puzzlers' League is a professional association of puzzle designers and game designers" - no it's not. DS (talk) 05:05, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@DragonflySixtyseven: I do strive to describe the categories accurately and I'm happy to update the wording in the nom. Is it an amateur hobbyist association with a few professionals, and the Wikipedia category just ended up exclusively with the latter? - RevelationDirect (talk) 09:16, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The vast majority of NPL members, like the vast majority of 1987 births, do not meet notability criteria. DS (talk) 13:50, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
