- The result of the discussion was: merge per the alternative proposal. MER-C 20:10, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
- Propose merging Category:Violence against trans people to Category:Transphobic violence
- Nominator's rationale: upmerge, unnecessary category layer with only two subcategories and the parent category is not well populated either. Marcocapelle (talk) 22:29, 7 February 2020 (UTC)
- ALT Merge to Category:Violence against LGBT people. Where does it say that the violence is phobic? Isn't it possible to have violence against trans people that is non phobic? Anyway, both the nomination and its target are overly specific. Laurel Lodged (talk) 14:24, 8 February 2020 (UTC)
- Agree that the parent category is also very small. The full alt proposal should then become:
- As nominator, I'm okay with the full alt as well. I will tag the parent category. Marcocapelle (talk) 14:57, 8 February 2020 (UTC)
- Agree with full alt. Laurel Lodged (talk) 15:12, 8 February 2020 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: delete. (non-admin closure) DannyS712 (talk) 00:18, 15 February 2020 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: delete per WP:G4, recreation of a previously deleted category. In general this is the 6th discussion about victims of rape, previously 4 discussions were closed as delete, 1 as no consensus. More details see Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2018_February_27#Category:American_alleged_rape_victims. Marcocapelle (talk) 22:12, 7 February 2020 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: merge. (non-admin closure) DannyS712 (talk) 00:09, 15 February 2020 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Redundant. Wikipedia uses "China" as a synonym for the People's Republic of China. Special cases, e.g., Hong Kong, can still have their own subcategory. Sandstein 22:08, 7 February 2020 (UTC)

- Propose
mergingrenaming Category:Members of the Hokkaido Legislative Assembly to Category:Members of the Hokkaido Prefectural Assembly
- Propose
- Nominator's rationale: rename, WP:C2C to align with sibling categories in Category:Members of prefectural assemblies of Japan. A speedy rename proposal was opposed. Marcocapelle (talk) 16:53, 7 February 2020 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: Rename to Category:Women heads of schools in the United Kingdom Timrollpickering (Talk) 19:32, 20 March 2020 (UTC)
- Propose renaming Category:Mistresses of schools to Category:British SOMETHING
- Nominator's rationale: rename to British something, since all articles are about British people. Two possible alternatives are: option A Category:British headmistresses like siblings in Category:Women school principals and headteachers, or option B Category:British women heads of schools like siblings in Category:Heads of schools in the United Kingdom. The rename was opposed at CFDS because the target was not obvious. Marcocapelle (talk) 16:42, 7 February 2020 (UTC)

- @Rathfelder, Oculi, TSventon, and Armbrust: courtesy ping to participants in speedy discussion. Marcocapelle (talk) 16:46, 7 February 2020 (UTC)
- Comment - I had a look round this tree last week and I prefer the set-up (due to Rathfelder) in Category:School principals and headteachers, namely Category:Heads of schools in Afghanistan etc, as the location of the school is easy (relatively) to ascertain whereas the nationality of its head is not. I would suggest Category:Women heads of schools in the United Kingdom (non-diffusing subcat of Category:Heads of schools in the United Kingdom). And do the same with the other 3 or 4 'fooish headmistresses'. (Heads of UK state schools these days are just called 'Headteacher': see eg https://www.kes.sheffield.sch.uk/whos-who.) Oculi (talk) 17:26, 7 February 2020 (UTC)
- I'm happy with Oculi's suggestion. Rathfelder (talk) 12:19, 16 February 2020 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: delete. (non-admin closure) DannyS712 (talk) 00:18, 15 February 2020 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Not a defining characteristic; see WP:NOTDEFINING. List article exists in userspace (User:T3g5JZ50GLq/Emmys Interviews) and could easily be used to populate the category when appropriate. Also, the category, itself refers to participating in a recent event. We should give it time to determine if it becomes a defining characteristic. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 16:07, 7 February 2020 (UTC)
- Delete, it's usually not even mentioned at all in the articles. Marcocapelle (talk) 17:02, 7 February 2020 (UTC)
- Delete - Being an interviewee is clearly a NN characteristic. Furthermore, it has the feel of a Performance by performer category. I note that all people categorised have surnames starting A, so that I suspect this is a project that someone started then abandoned. Peterkingiron (talk) 21:36, 9 February 2020 (UTC)
- He asked how to list all 900 or so on another forum, and I reported it could be done using WP:AWB against his list, but I wasn't going to do it unless the category was approved. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 00:26, 10 February 2020 (UTC)

- Propose merging Category:Freemason United States Presidents to Category:American Freemasons
- Nominator's rationale: Categorization by non-defining characteristic. TM 13:13, 7 February 2020 (UTC)
- Support, trivial intersection. Marcocapelle (talk) 15:08, 7 February 2020 (UTC)
