Nominator's rationale: Merge. Once all of the articles in this tree are reviewed to see which ones are better suited to the buildings and structures tree we are left with only one article and 10 categories for 10 other articles (decade summary articles). ~~Delete:~~ Support merge: I just placed Windsor Castle in Category:Buildings and structures completed in the 11th century (as the construction date isn't precise). The only other entries for these categories are the decade-specific architecture articles, which would be better placed in Category:11th-century architecture. Merge -- annual and even decennial categories at remote periods will never be adequatelyn populated. They are likely to get in the way of navigation, rather than aiding it. Some major structures at that period took many years to complete, so that a broad category with a dozen or two articles is much better than a tree made up of wisps, with a series of cats leading to a single article. Propose renaming Category:Morgenbladet journalists to Category:Morgenbladet people

Nominator's rationale: Rename. Standard for Category:Newspaper people by newspaper in Norway. Includes not just journalists, but editors, critics, correspondents, other staff... Geschichte (talk) 22:40, 17 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Support per rest of structure and fact that non-journalists (e.g. proprietors) are a useful inclusion that warrants the broader name. @Geschichte: Wouldn't the parent be better as Category:People by newspaper in Norway? SFB 19:12, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Category:South Korean music stubs

Propose renaming Category:South Korean music stubs to Category:South Korean music biography stubs

Nominator's rationale: Rename. The child category within is Category:South Korean musician stubs so following the scheme of Category:Music biography stubs, this seems to be the more appropriate name for this stub category. --Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars^{Talk to me} 16:31, 17 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Delete the stub template does not exist, the subcategory already lies in the musician-stub category tree. Upmerge the SKmusician-stub category into SK-stub category. Per Category:Music stubs, there can be country-based music stubs, so if this exists, it should keep its current name, as it is more general than just biographies. Keep. As a member of WP:WSS, I vote for keeping Category:South Korean music stubs, and adding the following to this recommendation:

Create {{SouthKorea-music-stub}} -- to be used for musical instruments or styles particular to South Korea.
Create {{SouthKorea-music-bio-stub}} -- for music producers and other non-musicians related to the music field.
Delete undersized category:South Korean musical group stubs. Upmerge {{SouthKorea-band-stub}} to here.
Delete undersized category:South Korean singer stubs. Upmerge {{SouthKorea-singer-stub}} to here.
Delete undersized category:South Korean musician stubs. Upmerge {{SouthKorea-musician-stub}} to here.

All of this should create a nearly full category. (For the purposes of WP:WSS, that's a minimum of 60 articles) Dawynn (talk) 13:42, 21 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Rename to category:SouthKorea-music-related-stub and merge into it all the subcategories related to music and musicians. As far as I can see the whole tree only contains 50-60 articles, which is enough for a stub category, but not enough to split. Peterkingiron (talk) 09:46, 23 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: the sub-categories have not yet been tagged, so this should probably be relisted. @Dawynn: should their other parent stub categories, Category:Korean musical group stubs and Category:Korean singer stubs, also be upmerged? The former has only the sub-cat plus a Korean-American band (Uptown 3000). The latter has c.30 pages which are mostly South Korean as well (with a few from the Korean diaspora, Akiko Wada & June (singer)); as that makes over 50 South Korean singer stubs, is that worth keeping after all? Also, should there be a Category:Korean music stubs to aid navigation? – Fayenatic London 07:37, 20 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
