• The name of this page might be a plausible redirect to something. I ran a search for "wooden coins" (ie coins made of wood), and found this, for example, which claims that wooden coins were used in the Byzantine Empire and elsewhere. The expression "wood coins" does appear in sources in this sense (eg this). I suppose the page name might be a plausible typo for "wood coin". On the face of it, "wooden coin" and "wood coin" should redirect, and I can't understand why they don't. James500 (talk) 06:58, 23 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"Don't take no wooden nickels" is probably the best known usage along these lines, but I doubt if we need an article on it, or on wooden coins in general, AFAIK they were something like a coupon used for price discounts at an occasional event.
