Query - Which other "real article" should it be merged into? AfD is not cleanup, nominator’s objection seems more WP:POV based than anything, so the best case scenario is to improve the article first unless there’s some obvious existing article it should be merged with, that I’m missing. • Keep Obviously notable topic. The article needs a lot of work, WP:SOFIXIT. This at least has reliable sources and is a far cry from WP:TNT. Yes, there is some overlap, but I don't think it should be merged with US-Mexico border or Trump administration family separation policy because some sources do argue that the southern border situation is a crisis,[1][2][3] with asylum applications up tenfold [4]. Oddly, most of the sources referring to a "crisis" are right wing media. Maybe could be renamed Late 2010s United States–Mexico border crisis to differentiate from other US Mexico border incidents. buidhe 05:52, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

• Comment. The topic in general is clearly notable on a long-term basis, the question is just whether or not there's already an article on it under another name. We do have very detailed articles on Immigration policy of Donald Trump and on Trump administration family separation policy specifically. These cover the US response to the crisis, which appears to be the focus of the disputed article. Information on the causes of migration and on the migrants is located in articles like Central American migrant caravans and 2014 American immigration crisis. • Redirect to Immigration policy of Donald Trump, but keep history of the page. The content is mostly valid, but it should be merged to other pages as commented by others above.
