Keep. Have added reference and expanded per undeletion request. Wilson is a significant figure in New Zealand music history, as both a singer and songwriter. He is featured in the seminal book on the development of New Zealand popular music, Blue Smoke: The Lost Dawn of New Zealand Popular Music 1918–1964 by Chris Bourke (Auckland University Press, 2010) with two pages on his life and career (pages 234–236). He was a child star, and later was HMV's first country-music signing in New Zealand, and one of New Zealand's most prolific singer-songwriters of the 1950s. He toured widely in New Zealand and Australia. More recently, songs written by him have been covered by artists including Patsy Riggir and the Topp Twins.
