Subject fails WP:GNG. This is another of Mitzi.humphrey's creations where she almost certainly has a CoI but failed to disclose it. Most of the citations listed are duplicates, so there's only one article from the Richmond Times-Dispatch. A ROUTINE citation from a golfing website doesn't lend notability. There are also two WP:SPS citations. In all, the subject isn't notable. Chris Troutman (talk) 01:42, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

- delete because, Wikipedia is not a directory and existence is not notability. Graywalls (talk) 12:02, 17 June 2020 (UTC)
- Keep
100 year old club.I have perhaps confused the age of this club with one of the same name in Michigan. I have begun cleanup of the article and I have added a few sources. There is more work to be done searchingthrough 100 years of news clippings, however we do have WP:RSs and WP:V to show that this club passes WP:N Lightburst (talk) 22:22, 17 June 2020 (UTC) KEEP Over a hundred years old. The famous landscape architect Charles F. Gillette did some work out there. Surely this got coverage back then. Most news sources from that long ago can not be found with a Google search. https://www.richmond.com/life/bill-lohmann/lohmann-after-years-women-of-meadowbrook-country-club-still-making/article_716d4b2b-0399-52b9-8190-283d5d487ab8.html is significant coverage in a reliable source, and this isn't just minor coverage or some small town newspaper. Dream Focus 00:28, 19 June 2020 (UTC)- Delete Unclear where this fake news of being 100 years old is from. Both DF's source and official website say the club was founded in 1957, and I have removed that claim from the article sourced to that page (not that WP:ITSOLD is a valid argument). Appears to be a pretty generic private golf course, and local-interest WP:AUD article does not establish notability alone. Hand-wave of what "surely" happened is not satisfactory. Newspapers.com which includes the Richmond Times-Dispatch does not have results about this and Gillette, or other significant coverage. Reywas92Talk 03:31, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
- The part about the 100 year history is from the YouTube video [1], and the guy tells the history of when it was founded and whatnot. 1916 incorporated, etc. Mentions what holes were done by what designers when and when they were redone and whatnot. Perhaps the current club is not as old as the golf course. Dream Focus 04:27, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
- About us by this Meadowbrook Country Club says 1957 establishment for the Virginia club. I note the Meadowbrook Country Club in Northville, Michigan is 100 years old.[1] Maybe there was an admixture of data and a good faith confusion and conflation because of the common name? I haven't got 39 minutes that I want to devote to watching that video. Indeed, I couldn't tell in the first minute which club the video was from. But when I went to the link that was erroneously posted in the Virginia wikipedia article, it became apparent that it was from the Michigan club. So I removed it. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 12:56, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
- As the note in the article verifies, the name "Meadowbrook Golf Course" is a public domain commonality. Lots of courses so-named all over the country. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 12:27, 20 June 2020 (UTC)
- Delete Not notable golf course....William, is the complaint department really on the roof? 09:36, 20 June 2020 (UTC)
- Keep There is enough there. Meets WP:GNG. Not the article it was when we started this AFD. See WP:Before. Further, the alleged WP:COI of the article's creator is an irrelevant fallacy; Argumentum ad hominem. The question of notability is independent of this attack. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 20:45, 20 June 2020 (UTC)
