Résumé-like "article" about an artist and designer, containing not so much as one single shred of reliable source coverage — until I cleaned it up a few minutes ago, in fact, the entire article was nothing but a gigantic catalogue of inappropriate offsite links to invalid primary sources. Furthermore, the article was created by User:GPD1, a WP:COI violation. No prejudice against recreation in the future if someone can write a good article about him which cites real sources, but he is not entitled to keep this. Delete. • Delete for obvious WP:COI, no sources, and just a long list of links. Agreed that he may be notable, though many/most of his books appear to be self-published (not that one's own books are to be used to establish notability.)--Theredproject (talk) 16:31, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • The Wikipedia page on Gábor Palotai will be looked into and updated with Wikipedia references continuously in order to promote reliability. However, old awards and exhibitions from before the digital era may not be entirely possible to refer to in this manner. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GPD1 (talkcontribs) 16:41, 27 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Two things: firstly, new comments go at the bottom of the page, not the top. Secondly, Wikipedia doesn't actually require our sources to be online — but we do require them to be independent. So newspaper or magazine articles about Gabor Palotai would be acceptable sourcing, whether online or not — while the webpages of the organizations that granted the awards would not. • Comment He has allegedly won the well-known and significant Red Dot award several times and a European Design Award, which satisifies individual notability. Also passes WP:ARTIST for exhibition participation at a national level. The article needs trimming to remove the unnecessarily long lists and specific references are required for the two awards mention above. I don't see a need to blow it up and start again.  Philg88 talk 07:23, 29 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep There seems to be plenty of coverage in reliable sources. For example, Fiell, Charlotte; Fiell, Peter, eds. (2003). Design Graphique Au 21e Siécle (Graphic Design for the 21st Century). Cologne, Germany: Taschen. pp. 230–235. ISBN 978-3-8228-1605-9., which I just added to the article. --Bejnar (talk) 01:59, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep There are reliable coverage/sources. However the article needs to be correctly formatted. But that is not a reason for deletion.--BabbaQ (talk) 10:26, 6 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - Gábor Palotai is notable. As above the article needs making neutral and more encyclopedic. Jonpatterns (talk) 19:52, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
