DGG - good to see "How Wikipedia Ought to Work" - dun wanna put folks off such a sought-after academic prize, so what to do?
- Spiderone - this Essay Prize is not lightweight by any degree, its contributions being adjudicated by the IHR - if under wrong section in Wikipedia please advise?
Keep - qv. List of student awards - if the Curriers' Prize is to be deleted, should we also delete Prudential Spirit of Community Award thru Young American Award? Comment: I'm grateful for this anonymous user's suggestion. Most of the awards at List of student awards are also of negligible notability. For example, the Jardine Scholarship is clearly nothing more than a bit of corporate PR, and the same seems to be true for the Prudential Spirit of Community Award and several other awards mentioned. There certainly are notable student awards (Rhodes scholarships, the Newdigate Prize, and so on), but most are nothing more than a pat on the back for doing well at some college or in some narrow academic discipline, and can and should be deleted.
