Delete we lack adequate sources that give indepth coverage to justify an article. Back in 2007 we operated on the pincipal every highschool everywhere was notable, we have since come to realize that is not a reasonable inclusion criteria.John Pack Lambert (talk) 12:53, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Keep - a US high school that is 134 years old, and has won multiple state championships is notable. The world doesn't end at the end of Google. High school athletics in the US are significant socially. The fact that the sources being found are about athletics is irrelevant. I agree, transactional sources about single games generally don't speak to notability, but sources about a high school's athletics programs are NOT less significant than sources about academics or arts. Keep Here is a multi-page feature in Sports Illustrated. Here is an in-depth article from National Public Radio. Here's an article from the panhandle about the integration timeframe. Here are some other articles [1] [2]. There are literally hundreds more on gSearch, around 4600 on newspapers.com search. There is enough to meet WP:GNG many times over.         It is evident you and I are not going to agree that there is a policy-based reason whether in-depth coverage by Sports Illustrated, NPR, etc. is coverage of the school. But why do you discount the non-sports-related coverage above, including this one? Or the hundreds of others on GSearch and newspapers.com? Comment I am confident that sources exist, but the school has too generic of a name. Newspapers.com often gives me results from schools in other states that happen to have this name. This will make a proper WP:BEFORE more difficult. Scorpions13256 (talk) 15:53, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
