  • Comment: I think this proposal should be withdrawn until a decision has been made on Bonavena etc. It's not helpful having multiple discussions going on out of synch. Spicemix (talk) 15:25, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per my and other arguments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Muhammad Ali vs. Oscar Bonavena. Give the well-sourced stub a chance. I also agree with the above comment. Stevie is the man! TalkWork 22:16, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Ali was an immense global figure, better known throughout the world than anyone when in his prime. These fights are the events in his life that made him what he was, like a director's films, a writer's novels, a general's victories. Per WP:GNG the sourcing is reliable and non-trivial. The editor has a track-record of creating excellent content, and this is clearly a fine article in the making. Spicemix (talk) 18:32, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.

  • Keep. This is a well-sourced article that satisfies all the demands of the GNG. Could even be expanded upon and improved. Muhammad Ali is one of the most written-about figures of the 20th century -- if more sources are desired they could be found with trivial effort. A Traintalk 16:52, 16 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
