Unclear he passes WP:ATHLETE as there's no evidence he's played in a single notable (competitive adult) match, and even less clear he passes WP:N, which would require multiple non-trivial mentions in reliable sources. Dweller (talk) 15:25, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per nom unless new evidence can be found. Spiderone (talk) 16:00, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ben Webster is a crucial player for Mypa, in the Finnish league, and his article should thus be kept. He IS a an athlete who has played many games for Mypa. Seftinho (talk) 09:55, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks for that. The Finnish league is not fully professional, so playing there does not confer automatic notability per WP:ATHLETE. He doesn't seem to have played professionally in England either, yet. So he'll need to pass WP:BIO, ie be the subject of multiple, non-trivial references in RS. The local paper story about his trip to Finland is a good start. Can you find any others? If so, I'm happy to withdraw this nomination. (Btw non trivial mentions in Finnish RS is fine of course) --Dweller (talk) 10:47, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete non-notable subject, fails WP:N and WP:ATHLETE (and imho he would be non-notable regardless of the amount of local coverage he might receive). --Angelo (talk) 12:33, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete non-notable football player, fails WP:N and WP:ATHLETE. --Carioca (talk) 21:50, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
So the verdict is that the article will be deleted ? Seftinho (talk) 08:59, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
