Article is not clear why he is notable. Having written a few books and mention by his brother in a local small-town newspaper does not confer notability. Antonio Saldías does not pass the professor tests nor the notability guidelines for creative professionals. Sietecolores (talk) 00:24, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
- Keep Nominator is disrupting the project by nominating every Pichilemu-related article he's found. WP:IDONTLIKEIT does apply here. --Diego Grez-Cañete (talk) 00:38, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

DeleteKeep thanks to Diego G-C's links to sources. Was: This person would either need to pass the criteria wp:academic or that for authors. If the information exists to support either of these, it isn't available to me. I can verify the fact of the three books through the catalog of the Nat'l Library of Chile, but that doesn't confer notability. We would need significant reviews of the books for him to be a notable author, or some information about academic achievements for the academic criteria. LaMona (talk) 00:37, 3 September 2015 (UTC)- LaMona, here are some reviews on some of the most important newspapers of Chile: El Mercurio de Valparaíso, El Rancagüino, El Mercurio de Valparaíso (again), El Mercurio de Santiago, Las últimas noticias, La Tercera, Fortín Mapocho (now extinct newspaper), Revista Chilena de Historia y Geografía, and so on... there are plenty. - Thanks Diego Grez-Cañete! I'll change my !vote, and I've done a quick copy of these links to the talk page of the article so that they don't get lost. I would advise adding a few to the article ASAP to show the notability of the subject. LaMona (talk) 03:34, 3 September 2015 (UTC)

- Keep: coverage is significant and in enough non-local sources to pass WP:GNG. Vrac (talk) 14:44, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
- What coverage? Local Pichilemu newspapers edited/written by his brother Washington Saldías González? –Sietecolores (talk) 08:56, 7 September 2015 (UTC)
