Prix Alain du Breil

I think, there is an error in the winners list (I have made the same error). The race name before 1986 was without "Alain du Breil" an the money was much higher than in 1987. This is the Grand course des haies de 4 ans not the version for spring.

I think, the spring Edition for the 4y hurdle rases dosn't exist before 1986 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bluecher (talkcontribs) 18:49, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't got a definite reference on this, but I am pretty sure this race was originally called the Whitbread Gold Label Cup (or Chase) and that Martell only took over sponsorship later - certainly when Desert Orchid won in 88 it was known as the Chivas Regal Chase. Have you got any info? I don't particularly want to go and edit the article as I'm never sure of what the right wording should be!! Thanks.--Bcp67 (talk) 19:53, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bit more info, I have a book called the Winter Kings which is about various leading steeplechasers. According to Wayward Lad's career record he ran in the race in 85 (w), 86 (ru), 87 (w - his last race) and it was definitely called the Whitbread Gold Label Cup Chase in those three years. Can't say for sure about 1984 though.--Bcp67 (talk) 08:35, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nell Gwyn Stakes

Hi, missing from the earlier winners are 1961 - Verbena, 1965 - Gently and 1972 - Carezza. Could you put them in as you'll know how you want the list laid out?

Also my reference, The Breedon Book of Horse Racing Records (1993) gives the 1963 winner as Amicable, not Uhuru. Is it the same horse under a different name? She was owned by the Queen and trained by Cecil Boyd-Rochfort. Thanks--Bcp67 (talk) 20:09, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. The book is quite a good resource, though a bit dated, as it lists every winners of all the British pattern races which were on the calendar in 1992 plus some major handicaps and NH races. I'll try to add some earlier winners to one of the races to see if I can get the columns laid out right.--Bcp67 (talk) 09:43, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Glad you've got hold of a copy, it's excellent, and a book of a type which I think will no longer be published. I haven't found much time lately to do much here but keep up your excellent work.--Bcp67 (talk) 20:02, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Zafonic, I've been looking over some of your recent articles at NewPage patrol, and I've had the Wikipedia:Autoreviewer flag set on for your account. So in future any articles you create will bypass the new page patrol process, as they will be automatically marked as patrolled. ϢereSpielChequers 22:16, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Turgeon

I know you are retired, but i figured I would warn you anyways.

As a contributor to the page Turgeon, I would like to inform you that I am thinking about moving the page to Turgeon (horse) and moving Turgeon (disambiguation) to the current page Turgeon. I will do it in a few days. Please discuss it here. Oldag07 (talk) 14:04, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Colours in use

I have been using the racing colours you did for the individual runnings of the Derby for some articles on the winners- see Kris Kin, Motivator and Sinndar. If you are taking requests, I could do with a Maktoum Al Maktoum (blue, white V, light-blue cap) or a Cheveley Park (red, white sash, blue cap). I've tried doing them on paint but the results are dreadful.Tigerboy1966 (talk) 19:02, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Purse

How do you work out the purse for the race results? Is it just the six prize money figures from the Racing Post result added together?--Bcp67 (talk) 15:47, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, will update pages where I add 2011 results. --Bcp67 (talk) 20:44, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fantastic Light

I thought you might like to know that I am going to put Fantastic Light forward for GA. Handicapper, who is now blocked started the article, but you did work on it in the early stages. If you have a moment, please take a look at it, I'd like to iron out any problems before nominating.Tigerboy1966 (talk) 10:23, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Zafonic, can you take a look at this page and see if you can get it into shape. It was obviously created in gf by less-experienced editors but it isn't up to the standard of the pages which you create for individual races. For instance, a casual viewer might think that... err scratch that, I see you've just done it. Great work.  Tigerboy1966  19:56, 1 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

La Coupe France

I work at present with the french racing results and I found the winning times from 1983 and 1985 in the chapter of teh race doubtable. The times are the fastest in Longchamp in the period between 1980 and 1990 in Galopp-Sieger and it was only a group 3 race. They seems more the time for 2200m.

Have you any possibilty to check them?
