Welcome!

Hello, Wattle Crew, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Steam Tug Wattle did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to The Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome!  Panian513 01:55, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
My name is Travers Falkiner and I am the appointed Media and Publicity Officer for the Bay Steamers Maritime Museum Ltd., owners of the Steam Tug Wattle. All edits I have made have been at the request of our Chairman Tony Lewis and may be verified by viewing the History section of our official website www.tugwattle.org.au
Best regards,
Travers. Wattle Crew (talk) 02:10, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please see Wikipedia's conflict of interest guide and the essay entitled "When your boss tells you to edit Wikipedia". Articles are not owned or controlled by their subjects; all information about a topic must be verifiable by citing reliable third-party sources. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 12:48, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 05:00, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You have to be joking! The only edits we made were to correct mistakes or omissions. We did not advertise the museum. As a not for profit organisation and owner of the vessel in question, it is our responsibility to ensure anything written in the public domain is accurate. 49.184.163.209 (talk) 06:29, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your edits removed sourced information and replaced it with unsourced material. We do not accept unsourced material, nor do we allow edits to a subject in accordance with the wishes of its subject's representatives.
Wikipedia articles are paraphrased summaries of information about a topic taken from reliable and independent sources. If something has never been published in a reliable source, it cannot exist on Wikipedia. We have no interest in what the subject of an article wishes to say about itself, as this is an inherent conflict of interest.
As already stated, your account name violates Wikipedia's username policy by implying that it is a "team" account where access is shared amongst several persons. This is not allowed; accounts can never be shared and the account name cannot imply shared use. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 12:56, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I see, the name of the editor is easily changed, however finding accurate up to date sources will be harder as we have been out of action in restoration mode for more than a decade. Leave it with me. 2001:8003:489C:3A00:A5A3:277E:F65E:16B2 (talk) 22:15, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits while logged out. Please be mindful not to perform controversial edits while logged out, or your account risks being blocked from editing. Please consider reading up on Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts before editing further. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 12:57, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
