Hi Vicmillsy,

Noted your recent interest in the Sandown 500, I'm sorry I reverted your edits but it wasn't really appropriate as the Sandown 400 is a different race than the 500 really and its history should be recorded sperately. But if you are interested in helping out contribution to Australian motor racing then might I suggest you join the Wiki-Project for Australian motorsport at Wikipedia:WikiProject Australian motorsport ?

Hope your time at Wikipedia is productive, there are plenty of editors around for experience and help. --Falcadore (talk) 07:56, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Eastside Spectres

A tag has been placed on Eastside Spectres requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Nuttah (talk) 05:26, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Craig Johnston. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. -- Luke4545 (talk) 17:28, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

August 2009

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to New South Wales appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe our core policies. Thank you. Bidgee (talk) 09:28, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Cricket Australia. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Bidgee (talk) 09:30, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not attack other editors, which you did here: User talk:Bidgee. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Bidgee (talk) 09:56, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Getting the point across

Regarding this edit, Wikipedia is not the place to get your point across. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a soapbox. As an encyclopaedia, it is essential, and it is Wikipedia policy that all editors maintain a neutral point of view. It is also policy that additions must be verifiable. Edits such as this and this fail to comply with any of these requirements, which is why they were removed. If you intend continuing to edit here, I suggest that you familiarise yourself with these Wikipedia policies, as well as the No Personal Attacks and civility policies (both of which you breached with this edit), and comply with them in the future. --AussieLegend (talk) 10:26, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mark Skaife

Wasn't Skaife from Gosford? --Falcadore (talk) 11:48, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If we went by where they lived the entire driver list would be Queensland and Victoria only. Garth Tander is probably the best example, a proud West Australian who has lived in Melbourne out of necessity for years. Following that principal it should be where a driver is from, the other example is of course Allan Moffat who is listed everywhere as Canadian. Tomas Mezera and George Fury are listed however by their present home states rather than Czechoslovakia and Hungary respectively, mainly because unlike Moffat it is not clearly known when or if they have become naturalised citizens. Because of this lack of clarity, mostly drivers are listed as Australian rather than belonging to a state.
You are right Lowndes should be Victoria rather than Queensland where he has lived for many years now, however Skaife should be New South Wales rather than Victoria where he presently lives. --Falcadore (talk) 02:13, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
