Please see WP:AUTO for the policy and the reasons why it is necessary. I can't see anything wrong with what you have written. Even so, it might be best to leave the article as it is and let other people edit it from now on. Please do not be put off by this. You can write about yourself on your user page (User:Verlaine71) and you are more than welcome to contribute to other articles.
