Hey, Thomas. The style guideline WP:DISCOGSTYLE states that there should be no more than ten charts used in a table in a discography, primarily to avoid the tables becoming too cluttered and easier to navigate. As Metallica's work has charted no better in Denmark than the other territories already found in the table, I've removed the (perfectly legitimate as a chart in the first place) Danish positions which you have, in perfectly good faith, attempted to add. The choice of charts isn't the problem with the edits you're making: Austria and France are perfectly reliable charts, but my same argument applies in regards to removing them – please stick to ten charts only. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block.

Hi Thomas, I see you are a relative newcomer on here so first welcome to wikipedia. There are various guidelines, various group projects, and a lot of different editors.

I will first deal with editors and the human factor on here. Editors may read the same guideline differently, this can come from several reasons- bias from our own experience, a misreading of what is typed (may be as opposed to maybe) or misunderstanding of their application. We use talkpages and discussion to ask for clarity if we dont understand something- if we have edited and being reverted or have the edit undone this is refered to as WP:BRD be bold, revert and discuss. Another reason for discussion is to garner concensus, consensus is not a form of voting but editors will discuss the merits or remits of an edit or guideline and the outcome that is accepted or reached is that which is deem to be neutral, contain clarity and follow the guidelines and principles of the encyclopedia.

I came across your edits on my watchlist today, and I check your contribution history and see you have made some edits in a similar manner that have been reverted. While you may feel it is more accurate to describe places as [[Town]], [[Country]], [[State]] in general the view is that this maybe considered overlinking. There is a link in the title above, and this is its talkpage. If you have any questions a post on the talkpage will lead to answers and clarity.

Changing nationalities with in UK-centric articles could be seen as pointy. Generally consensus should be made prior to altering these. Some are not what you or I would deem correct or appropriate (in my case One Direction are a British band- thats where they come from and Horan hasnt presented any thing for Irish to be included, but consensus says English-Irish) but consensus is different and we are obliged by being neutral to edit accordingly.

I have reverted you in several articles where you made nationality-related changes for reasons that were not readily apparent. Bob Dylan's ancestry, for instance, has been the matter of some interest and discussion (see the talk page) and I think your change was rather hasty.
