National varieties of English

Information icon In a recent edit to the page Miami MLS team, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to India, use Indian English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. Walter Görlitz (talk) 16:44, 13 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

March 2016

Information icon Greetings. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to African Stars F.C., did not appear to be constructive and has been or will be reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Constantly changing Soccer to Football

Hello Swish FC. prior to your numerous edits on soccer/football related articles, all designed it seems to remove one word, there have been other posts at approximately the same time for other users such as User:Will.I.Win, and User:LeonardoKOPA, where there has been discussion about edit warring, from persistently making the same set of changes. Please can you desist from these non-constructive changes to soccer/football related articles? Matilda Maniac (talk) 22:29, 13 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at New York City FC. Your edits have been or will be reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. The team is based in the United states and so when you make edits like this you do so against the guidelines set out for editing. Please stop behaving like this. It also seems as though Australian association football editors are not taking a shine to your changes there as well. Walter Görlitz (talk) 20:04, 27 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
