Out of practise

I'm not as up on Brit usage, so I'll withdraw any complain on the issue. :) TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 01:24, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2004 Belgian Grand Prix, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bob McKenzie (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

On the 2004 Belgian Grand Prix

Hi Spa-Franks. I gave a look-over of the Belgian Grand after you requested feedback, and first things first thank you for putting the effort in on creating a full race report. There are far too many articles out there that still are little more than a table of results, so any improvement is most welcome. On the article itself, I don't know if you're planning to take this to good/featured article eventually, but the absolute best advice I can give you is to look at a current F1 featured article (like the 2008 Brazilian Grand Prix) just to get an idea of the sort of article they are looking for. I've been trying to get my own article - 2011 Canadian Grand Prix - to GA status for a while now (my own time permitting!) and looking at the previous work editors have been doing has been a real help.

For some general guidance, the biggest things sticking out are the lack of references and the small pre- and post-race sections. For the first, Autosport has an easily searchable online archive, that is now free to view since they switched to a metered model, and the BBC for one keeps its old news up. If you don't have any hard copies of information from that time, you could also search the archives of the better quality papers like the Guardian or Telegraph, and there's also more specific sources like Grandprix.com or ESPNF1.com that are considered reliable sources. To help flesh out the two sections, I again suggest looking at what other race reports include and finding the same sort of information for this race. Post-race driver comments especially should be easy enough to find, and do (PR phasing aside) help tell the story of the race.

Finally, pictures can often be tricky to find as we're completely reliant on people releasing their work under a free licence, but adding a few more would be a good addition. If nothing else, including a picture of Schumacher - and it doesn't have to be from this race - would be advisable. Good luck! :) QueenCake (talk) 20:07, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
