Help on footnotes and citations
Hi Sister Kay, I saw that you tried to place a citation in the Me Too movement article. I corrected & expanded it using the {{cite book}} template, & removed the {{citation needed}} template. Please see Help:Footnotes & Help:Citation Style 1 pages. I know that there is a lot of material in both those, but learning the syntax would help a new editor yearning to edit Wikitext mark up.
Alternately, if you are using Visual Editor, you can use the Cite button. For this, please see In the third system, you again start by pressing the Cite button.
at mediawikiwiki:Help:VisualEditor/User guide#Editing references & mediawikiwiki:Help:VisualEditor/User guide/Citation templates.
If you are editing Wikitext, you can also use the toolforge:Citer to format the citation for you. Here is an example for the DOI 10.1007/978-3-319-62122-7_193-1.
I hope that you find this useful. I know that creating references & citations can initially be daunting if you are using Wikitext; others find Visual Editor easier to use. I believe it helps to know both.
Happy & fruitful editing! Peaceray (talk) 18:43, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
