Speedy deletion of Conquerclub.com

A tag has been placed on Conquerclub.com requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Your first article. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Please read WP:WEB and WP:NOTABILITY. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 01:56, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome to e-mail me the contact info. Problem is, the content is very self-promotional and third-party references are going to be needed. There is also the issue of notability att WP:WEB. Finally, releasing your existing copyright to this site's license effectively leaves it open for anyone to use and manipulate it. You're better off doing it on a user subpage: User:Sailorseal/Conquerclub.com. When it's up to snuff, you can move it to the main space.--PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:22, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article Conquer Club has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 00:43, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Re. your last message on my page: I wish I could, but that isn't my call to make. The best compromise I can offer is to do it on the subpage, which I'll restore for you. Keep in mind that if you release that material to Wikipedia, it becomes basically anyone's to use and manipulate. Just trying to protect your copyright. You should also be aware that even if the content meets the style guidelines, it may still not meet the notability guidelines at WP:WEB. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 00:45, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I replaced it here: User:Sailorseal/Conquerclub.com. This will give you the opportunity to bring the article up to standards. The most important part other than the copyright is that of nitability. You'll need to add some third-party references, such as major media coverage. Good luck! --PMDrive1061 (talk) 01:14, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 01:13, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
