Thank you.

A tag has been placed on User talk:Saharare, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of User talk:Saharare and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. DES (talk) 22:00, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of prior user talk page

Your previous user talk page was, in effect, a "fake article" about saharareporters.com, a website whose notability has not yet been established. If you want to create an actual article about this site or the organization that operates it, you will need to substantiate its notability with citations to independent, reliable sources. See our verifibility policy, our notability guideline for corporations and organizations, and our notability guideline for web sites. If you are, as your user name suggests, involved with saharareporters.com, you should also read our conflict of interest guideline.

Even more important, you may not simply copy text from an existing website, see our copyright guideline. Even if permission to release the text under a free license were granted, it would need to be rewritten with a neutral tone.

Please consider these issues before attempting to recreate a Wikipedia page about saharareporters.com. Thank you. DES (talk) 22:09, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

User Name issues

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.

There are two issues with this:

  1. You may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization.
  2. Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.

Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the policy to not edit in a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.

Specifically your name "Saharare" seems to be a shortened form of "saharareporters" which you wrote an description of for this page (see messages above and deletion log). This makes it appear as if this account is a "role" account or is intended to promote this organization. DES (talk) 23:22, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
