Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Sukarchakia warrior.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Sukarchakia warrior.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Sukarchakia warrior.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. License tagging for Image:Bhagat singh.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Bhagat singh.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:06, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Jat sikh army.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:JAT SIKH ARMY.jpg. The copy called Image:JAT SIKH ARMY.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 10:01, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Shiva_5.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Shiva_5.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. The Sunshine Man 11:45, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced edits

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Kshatriya, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. utcursch | talk 10:43, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I notice you uploaded the image Image:Lord balram.jpg with the {{Non-free logo}} fair use image tag. However, it appears that this tag is totally unrelated to the content of the image, and as a result it may qualify for speedy deletion. Image:Lord balram.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you can find a valid tag that expresses why Image:Lord balram.jpg can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the {{Non-free logo}} tag that you have placed on it with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can reupload it but please ensure you place the correct tag on it. However, you must not remove the speedy deletion notice. Thank you, and please feel free to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Jesse Viviano 22:36, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:JAT_DI_MAA.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:JAT_DI_MAA.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:37, 18 June 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. OsamaK 13:37, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Images

Please don't upload copyrighted images with misleading tags, as you did to Image:Jat lady.jpg -- it was not created by you; it was a copyrighted image taken by Aman Sharma of Associated Press. Similarly, several of the images that you've uploaded as "{{Non-free logo}}" or "{{Non-free book cover}}" are not logos or book covers. Please refrain from such copyright violations. utcursch | talk 05:34, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop uploading copyrighted images taken from other websites and tagging them with misleading tags like {{PD-self}}. If you continue to ignore copyright policies, you'll be blocked from editing Wikipedia. utcursch | talk 13:15, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on K.C.Srivastav, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JATS OF JADDROSIA

Dear Suryaveer Singh: I thought I had better write to you as I am planning to delete your section called JATS OF JADDROSIA on the Jat people page and maybe you would like the opportunity of trying to improve it first. There are a number of things wrong. Cyrus (II) 'the Great' only ruled from 550 to 529 BCE and so could not have been doing anything much "In the middle of 600 BC". Secondly, Jaddrosia is usually written Gedrosia and was, apparently, a Greek name and very unlikely to have had anything to do with the name "Jat." Thirdly, you have given no references to anything in your article. Please feel free to contact me if you wish on the Jat people talk page about any of these matters. Yours sincerely, John Hill 05:00, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have just noticed someone else has removed the section - so please reply to him or her if you have any queries. John Hill 05:07, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding POV and unsourced content to articles like Jat people and Kshatriya. Wikipedia is not meant for for glorifying any castes and groups. Also, please have a look at the Manual of Style and consider using proper letter case, formatting style and grammar. utcursch | talk 05:17, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
