You declined this one - I tweaked it a bit and found some more refs to add - is there anything in particular that you don't like? I don't want to just keeping guessing, tweaking, and submitting. Thanks for your time. Ronhjones  (Talk) 19:29, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi User:Ronhjones - I took a quick look before going off to bed... I noticed a few relatively minor issues: You refer to the subject by his first name. The style guide for biographies (WP:MOSBIO) requires that after the initial introduction when the full name is stated, subsequent mentions should use the surname only. It's the formal style that an encyclopedia requires. The references you've added look good except for one noticeable error. You have one newspaper reference that doesn't mention the article title, it also has a URL with a "note" that the article is not available on the website - in that case the URL is pointless, take it out and also the accessdate which is only relevant for website references (use the {{Cite news}} template). Fixing these minor issues will "polish up" the draft quite nicely. It looks to me like the draft should have a fairly good chance of being accepted at the next review - but don't hold me to it, I'm tired and off to bed. Thanks for that - I'll start editing. Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:09, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Re: Draft:Robbie Glover - I seems to be going backwards with this article. It was not created by me, I just decided to take it over - it was originally started in 2008. After the first review I submitted, I asked the reviewer for comments - (User_talk:Dodger67/Archive_8#Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation.2FRobbie_Glover). which all seemed logical, so I then set about writing it in a format that would be acceptable. The second review needed more sources, so I tracked down as many as I could (it's not easy, as it's a UK artist who's got to No.1 twice in Eastern Europe, rather than in the UK - at least that part in documented on the BBC!). So I'm not really sure how many more sources I need to find (if they can be found) - I know the best ones are obviously the ones that cannot be written by the subject - i.e the BBC, The Stage, The Sun, IUMA, etc. Other refs are just there to show his songs have been covered by many other artists as he is also a songwriter as well as a singer. Any suggestions would be useful. Ronhjones  (Talk) 19:37, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The amount of sources is not the issue, its the quality of a few of them that is. Because the submission is a biography of a living person, the sourcing policy is more stringent. Once the content referenced by unreliable sources (such as Urban Dictionary, Discogs, SoundClick, last.fm) is removed or cited with a reliable source, the submission should be good to go. --Hirolovesswords (talk) 03:31, 4 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, now I see (I hope). Time for a little re-write and prune - thanks. Ronhjones  (Talk) 20:52, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Adjusted initial references. Now items 1 through to 10 are distinctly non-written by subject. Ronhjones  (Talk) 15:47, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Removed some poor references and tidied up some others. None of the references can be "self-written" - expect for the two small UK major TV intervies, but I think they should stay. Ronhjones  (Talk) 16:05, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
