Recent edits to Puneeth Rajkumar

Hello. I noticed that you recently made a contribution to the Puneeth Rajkumar article that seemed to be a test. Your test worked! However, test edits on live articles disrupt Wikipedia and may confuse readers. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Materialscientist (talk) 10:09, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Anjaniputra (film

Hello Ravikeralli,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Anjaniputra (film for deletion, because it appears to duplicate an existing Wikipedia article, Anjaniputra (film).

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Anjaniputra (film) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/entertainment/kannada/movies/news/ramya-krishnan-is-puneeths-mother-in-anjaniputra/articleshow/57053662.cms. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi there, re: your edit here, per WP:UGC we do not use blogs as references, since anyone with an internet connection can create a blog and call himself an expert on any given subject. We're only interested in what reliable published sources with established reputations for fact-checking and accuracy have to say. Other examples of insufficient sources include discussion forums, website comments, unverified Twitter accounts, IMDb, even Wikipedia itself. Please stick to mainstream sources like major newspapers, magazines and their online presences. (The Hindu, Hindustani Times, Times of India, etc.) Please also familiarize yourself with our general guidelines on reliable sources as well as our stance on user-generated content. Also problematic, the source doesn't explicitly say that Raajakumara is the highest-grossing Kannada film of 2017. It might be, but if the source doesn't explicitly state this, verification is very difficult for our readers, because they would have to know what every Kannada film grossed in 2017 in order to verify. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 12:40, 31 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, your resubmission of improperly sourced content is not helpful. Please find a better source and please familiarise yourself with our general guidelines on reliable sources as well as our more specific guidelines on sources considered suitable for Indian cinema articles. Some examples can be found at WP:ICTF#Guidelines on sources. Please don't resubmit this content without addressing the reliability issue, along with the general concern that the source needs to say that X films is the highest-grossing film of Y year. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:48, 31 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you submit this poorly-sourced content again, I will interrupt your editing privileges. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:36, 31 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
