World Martial Arts Tournament Announcer (Dragon Ball)

'ey, you!

I noticed what peoples did to Tournament Announcer, and while I agree with what they did, I think the Tenkaichi Budokai Announcer is important enough to be posted with his own profile. As such, I've relocated the former announcer page to here! And yes, Tenkaichi Budokai Announcer re-directs there.

Cheers! ~ Jessica Ingmann 15:46, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dragon Ball CfD

Excuse me, but most of the people voted Category:Wikipedians interested in the Dragon Ball series not Category:Wikipedians who like the Dragon Ball series. Why was this drastic change made? (Me | The Article) 17:05, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I explained in the closing comments at WP:UCFD. If you have further questions/concerns, please feel free to ask (I now have this discussion on my watchlist.) - jc37 17:13, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to bother you again, but shouldn't Category:Wikipedians who like Dragon Ball Z be deleted and merged (whatever) with the new DB category? (Me | The Article) 18:23, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, you're an administrator so see what you can do. For now, we have a Category:Wikipedians who like the Dragon Ball series and Category:Wikipedians who like Dragon Ball Z. I really think that Category:Wikipedians who like Dragon Ball Z should be renamed/moved/merged (whatever) to Category:Wikipedians who like the Dragon Ball series since they're basically the same categories. Thanks for your time, (Me | The Article) 00:03, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Grandpa Gohan

What were you doing, having a discussion to move Grandpa Gohan and then you ignore the outcome of the discussion and do it anyway? This at best a violation of the procedures. I don't even know how to respond to you. Wikipedia is held together because we work together. You going off and doing whatever you want when you don't get your way does not help. Please obey the guidelines. JRP 03:53, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't particularly matter on whose talk page you had a discussion since you clearly didn't follow consensus. JRP 04:03, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I was requested to help out over here. Could you provide diffs to the discussion/vote, and how consensus/votes were violated? Thanks. Yuser31415 04:18, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree it is confusing, but I really need a link to the poll/discussion before I can make an action here. Can you also state why you made the move? Cheers. Yuser31415 04:29, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I commented on the requests for protection page ([1]). I can't do much more than that without indicating bias, but if you've any questions I am happy to answer them. Yuser31415 04:46, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The page was move protected until disputes resolved. Yuser31415 04:53, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So do I. Remember to discuss matters in a very WP:CIVIL and WP:COOL way with any other user who's opposing you; it adds strength and maturity to your argument. Best wishes in your war on error, Yuser31415 04:58, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:World Martial Arts Tournament (Dragon Ball)

I think it's all right leaving it as Tenkaichi Budokai. I don't think you should use fansubs as a source, the series is on DVD now ^.^ But yeah, I'd go for Tenkaichi Budokai Announcer VelocityEX 19:08, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ahh...the manga also uses Tenka'ichi Budokai? In that case, use it then. Sorry about that VelocityEX 06:35, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I was for a little while, but I wasn't paying attention to my messages.
Anyways..'Strongest Under the Heavens', if I remember is a translation of Tenkaichi Budokai. After the whole Mr.Satan thing, I don't think we need translated names. >.>
If anything, I think we should just stick with Tenkai'chi Budôkai, and have the alternate versions (Tenka'ichi Budokai, Tenkaichi Budokai, Strongest Under the Heavens, Tenka-ichi Budokai, etc). That's what I think VelocityEX 23:33, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Um, if you're planning on moving your entire userpage to this page, then I wouldn't appreciate it :). However, if you just wanted to redirect your userpage to this page, you're welcome; lots of people do that. Cheers, Yuser31415 21:08, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Have I missed something? You can't move your userpage here- you can only move to pages that have no edit history (or at least no edit history viewable by non-administrators). Why do you want to move your userpage here anyway? --Deskana (request backup) 21:15, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dark Dragon Flame

I have been working on a few DBZ pages (mostly Goku) lately adding images editing vandalism, doing clean up and such things, and I have wondered what is needed to enter the WikiProject DBZ, and since you are already a member I thought you might be able to help me, thanks in advance for your help!-Dark Dragon Flame 05:32, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, just joined. I alongside users SUIT and Majinvegeta (among others that also did their parts) have done major cleaning up of the Son Goku page and I am expecting to clean up a few of the saga pages. I also customized my talk page already althought I want to make my own complicated userbox but I kind of need help there, funny how I can make all kind of edits and create complicated Page boxes but can't do that, oh well see you around!-Dark Dragon Flame 08:23, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Power levels

I was very busy last week and anyway, I'm not really interested in "guesstimations" in the sense that we'll never have any answer on that, and there are as many guesstimations possible as there are people. Thus, I'm not so ready to argue for years about something so unsubstanciated.

As for the movie PLs, I already told you all I knew. I saw that several people are concerned with these PLs and and are trying to find the right way to include them in the article, so it will be done anyway.Folken de Fanel 19:34, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Salut ! But I already told you I had the DVD, didn't I ? However there are no more PLs than those I already gave to you: Burdock and Goku. I've just checked, Vegeta's PL is not given, and King Vegeta doesn't appear in the Special. However like I said, I don't think King Vegeta's Pl was ever given, I only vaguely remember that Vegeta said "somewhere" that he was stronger than his father, without precise number...Folken de Fanel 22:06, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There was simply no scene with King Vegeta. However there is one TV episode (can't recall the number) which also shows the destruction of Planet Vegeta (or at least the betrayal of Freeza), and features King Vegeta being killed. But King Vegeta has never appeared in the Burdock Special, that's for sure. Folken de Fanel 22:16, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I already told you, I have Funi's uncut DVD, however King Vegeta was never in the Special. Yes there's a 5 years old Vegeta and Nappa with hair, however King Vegeta was never in it. Obviously you're confused with the TV episode I mentionned before. The scene with King Vegeta you're talking about is in a TV episode, not the Burdock Special. Folken de Fanel 23:05, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey thanks for that, I already created one and since I know now how to do it I will try a few combinations until I found the one that fits me perfectly, -thanks!-Dark Dragon Flame 20:55, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Images

Images don't appear the same on every browser. They are aligned as such to prevent the headers from being pushed to the right. You doing the same thing twice doesn't solve that problem. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 23:33, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, ok. Thanks for answering my question! Power level (Dragon Ball) 23:34, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I removed the listing from "Uncontroversial proposals" again, because it clearly is not uncontroversial, and because discussion is still ongoing; I'm just halfway through writing a reply at the talk page now. Please do not list moves to which there is opposition in the Uncontroversial proposals section. At best, it would just sit there without getting moved, because any administrator looking into the matter would immediately see that it's not uncontroversial. Trying to get things done on Wikipedia by saying "Majority rules" is kind of like trying to cut down a tree by whistling at it — not very likely to work.

One other note: you said that I opposed the move, but I haven't actually done that, nor have I decided whether I support or oppose it. Careful, counting your opponents before they're actually your opponents. ;) -GTBacchus(talk) 05:25, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted the cross namespace redirect. Although WP:CNR is historical, cross namespace redirects should be avoided in cases like that, as they can simply cause confusion and serve no particuarly useful purpose. --Deskana (request backup) 18:21, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I figured that since I'm not using the userpage, I have no need for it to list fake power levels there. But the redirect doesn't work anyways, but oh well, whatever works. I'll list the real power levels there soon though. Power level (Dragon Ball) 18:24, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Freeza's men

As far as I think it's clear from the manga, Freeza maintains a regular army. It's mostly just hints: a standard uniform, Captain Ginyu, etc. JRP 01:05, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just make sure you're not doing original research. Cheers, Yuser31415 (Editor review two!) 04:11, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Right. The manga doesn't say they are mercenaries, but it does hint that they are regulars. So, I wouldn't add the categories. Be very careful adding all of these categories. JRP 04:28, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think you can't really know what Freeza's structure is. Mercenaries are paid soldiers who fight for personal gain without respect for nationality, etc. The question is whether Freeza's troops, including Ginyu, are paid mercenaries or regular soldiers. You can't tell from the manga or anime enough of the structure. Compare Tao Pai Pai to the Red Ribbon Army. Notice there it is very clear he's not actually part of the RRA. But no such distinction is made here. So, I suggest that they aren't mercenaries. And, even if they are, it's ambiguous. JRP 04:41, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dragon Ball Z Image

Well, to be frank, I am not even sure myself what rationale means in this case. I think it just means specific fair use information. The image I could was cropped, and low resolutioned so it qualifies as fair use. The stupid OrphanBot (and many will tell you it has major flaws, just check it's discussion) detects to see if the words "fair" and "use" are in the images description. If they are not, it sends out a warming. I simply just went ahead and clarified it. Anyways, thanks for the help, I appreciate it. Together, we'll continue to improve the DBZ articles! Incorruptibility

"Retarded" in the context of this article is not vandalism - it's being used to mean "slowed," not "of diminished mental capacity." It's fine to leave it as it is.  :) -RaCha'ar 13:17, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gargoyles voice actors

Yes, I'm aware that a category already exists. I created it. The suggestion on the talk page was specifically to create a list because the category was up for deletion. I assume you're happy with a list instead, if it does end up being deleted? Or even if it doesn't? -- Supermorff 18:25, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Flutter

to flutter
  1. (intransitive) to flap or wave quickly but irregularly
  2. (intransitive) (of a bird or insect) to flap the wings without flying; to fly with a light flapping of the wings
  3. (transitive) to cause something to flutter

No, he doesn't flutter. He flies. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 19:45, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not the writer. How would I know? It's self-propelled flight, nothing more. It is not fluttering. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 20:32, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Medical Jutsu is fine where it is. It clarifies a somewhat ambiguous title. Quit removing it. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 21:09, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Seriously, just knock it off. You're just making a fuss for no reason. It's fine as it is. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 21:14, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You who hides his archives is in no position to cal me dense. I've explained why it stays. Leave it be. Do not continued to be a nuisance over two words just because you can. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 21:16, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's a specialization and a rather ambiguous title so we explain it. Simple as that. No one but you seems to care, and in fact I tired to remove it when it was introduced. I was convinced of its necessity, and others are as well. Leave it be. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 21:25, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Get a dictionary. It'll help you immensely. Specialization: to be specialized in a field, to make trained in a certain field extensively or majorly. It's what they do best, simply put. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 21:31, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's "civil" and you still need a dictionary. I've had to define terms for you too many times now. You should know what these words mean already. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 21:38, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop arguing, both of you. You're not debating the matter constructively any more, just warring over dictionaries. Yuser31415 (Editor review two!) 22:01, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sort of, but it didn't look good. Yuser31415 (Editor review two!) 22:08, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re "Fictional characters who can ressurect themselves"

Hi Power level,
Sorry not to respond to your message more quickly.

Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2007 January 24#Fictional characters with the power to ressurect themselves

The category was speedily deleted because a user identified it as a recreation of a category previously deleted via the Categories for discussion page linked above. Other users also provided other reasons for its deletion.

If, however, you don't think it's a recreation, you could create and start populating the category Fictional characters who can resurrect themselves (note spelling!). Be prepared, though, for it to be confirmed as a recreated category, meaning it would be deleted and probably blocked from recreation.

Instead, you could create a List of fictional characters who can resurrect themselves and link it to the relevant articles – this is what I'd do. Hope this helps, David Kernow (talk) 11:34, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I would create a Category:List of fictional characters who can resurrect themselves, but the fact is that it may still be up for deletion or just be deleted and protected from recreation. Can you create it for me? I mean, you are an administrator, and the administrator who deleted it. Besides, I don't wanna be warned or anything for doing it...
If I create it, I'll probably get warned – being an administrator doesn't mean immunity!  Create the List of fictional characters who can resurrect themselves; it's more likely to survive and later you may feel it'll receive support for conversion into a category. Alternatively, you could try to make it a Featured list!  Enjoy, David (talk) 16:46, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I did it. I created a new category and re-added Garlic Jr. back to it. Could you see if there's anything else I'm missing there?
If you mean other characters, that's up to you plus anyone else interested in Dragon Ball Z and this category that you can find; maybe Wikipedia:WikiProject Anime and manga might help. Othwerwise nothing seems amiss. Just be prepared for someone to nominate it for deletion!
Also, could you make it a "Featured list!" since I don't even know what you meant. Power level (Dragon Ball) 17:05, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This is what I meant, if you were going to create and work on a List of characters who can resurrect themselves. Yours, David (talk) 17:50, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Jessica's daisy duke.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Jessica's daisy duke.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fighting vandalism etc

I don't quite know what you want to know. Have you read Help:Reverting, User:AmiDaniel/VandalProof, Wikipedia:Tools/Navigation popups, and Wikipedia:Vandalism? These pages should give you all the information you need about reverting vandals and some of the tools available. You can also check out Category:Wikipedia counter-vandalism tools if you are interested. Apart from popups, I don't use any of these tools, so I have no idea how they work. Kusma (討論) 09:50, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Installing popups

Including popups seems do have been done correctly in your monobook.js. Some reasons why it might not have worked:

  • You might be using an unusual browser that popups doesn't support. Let me know what browser and operating system you're using.
  • You might not have bypassed your cache properly.
  • You might be using a skin other than Monobook in your preferences.
  • Your browser might have JavaScript turned off.

Are any of these the case? --ais523 18:21, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

You had some Java console messages in your monobook. I removed them. Popups should mysteriously start working anytime now. Just hover over a wikilink for a few seconds. Superm401 - Talk 18:44, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
As stated above, this will work more promptly if you clear your cache. Superm401 - Talk 18:47, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict; Superm401 has now made the change I was advising you to make) I advise you to revert back to the first version of your monobook.js; a monobook.js page has a very specific structure which extra text at the end won't help (I can't edit the page, I'm not an admin and only admins can edit other user's monobooks). You seem to be confusing JavaScript with Java; they're entirely separate languages (the confusion isn't helped by the fact that they both look like C, they have similar names, and they're both widely used on the Internet). You can test whether JavaScript is working on your system by typing
javascript:alert(window.navigator.userAgent);
into your browser's address bar (you should get a message box with information about your browser). Let me know what the results of that test are. --ais523 18:48, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, we admins live the life ;). Anyway, don't modify that page (monobook.js) anymore if you just want popups. It's correct right now, but might not work for a couple reasons. First, go to Wikipedia:Bypass_your_cache#Instructions_for_popular_browsers. Carefully follow the instructions for your browser. Then, copy:
javascript:alert(window.navigator.userAgent);

into your address bar (after erasing it) then press enter. If JavaScript works, you'll see a message. Let me know what happens after each of those steps. To see if popups work, keep your mouse pointer over any wikilink for a few (2-3) seconds; you should see a box come up with the beginning of the linked page. Superm401 - Talk 19:49, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

helpme

Please don't place this tag in your monobook.js, only you and admins can edit it which will stop many people helping you. Looking at it I can only reiterate what has been said above. Popups

OK lets try this the other way around. Can you tell me what you have tried and what you don't understand?

  • Have you followed the instructions for clearing your browsers cache?
  • Have you tried putting the line listed above in your browsers address bar?
  • What browser/os are you using?
  • Do you know how to tell if popups is working or not?

--pgk 21:34, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK I'm don't use popups so I can't give you all the details on it. However I've just installed it. When it is working properly if you hovver over various links (such as the pgk in my signature) you'll get a box popup after a second or two containing more info and additional links. --pgk 21:48, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia:Tools/Navigation_popups is the documentation you are looking for... --pgk 21:50, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The box popping up is showing you that popups is installed and working. For my sig say, it should after a second or two show a few lines of my talk page (so a list of the archives). Further than that you need to look at the documentation for what the various links in the popup windows do, and which different popups you get on different links. --pgk 22:04, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
As an example if you go here - a diff page, and then on the left hand side of the diff hovver your mouse over "Revision as of 21:00..." you should get a little window popup. In that window is a link "actions", move the mouse over that and a menu drops down including options like revert. Clicking on that revert link would roll the page back to that version. --pgk 22:08, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Good glad it's working. Yes popups provides various shortcuts to save you time doing things like reverting spam or vandalism, enable you to go straight to editing etc. etc. --pgk 22:18, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's good. You're seeing small boxes when you keep your mouse over links, right? There is also documentation about the "undo" feature. Tell me if you have questions. Superm401 - Talk 01:30, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You may have already found this out but User:Recoome isn't using popups, but the "undo" is the same as the popups revert, just a different edits summary. I also don't use popups, my reverts are done using the admin facility which is built into the mediawiki software but only available to admins. --pgk 07:14, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your {{helpme}} tag

Hi, I noticed your {{helpme}} tag. Do you need help with something? --KFP (talk | contribs) 21:57, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Well, I suggest that you try to resolve the dispute by explaing your thoughts at Talk:Orochimaru (Naruto) and Talk:Kakashi Hatake and discussing the disputed edits with Someguy0830 and other involved editors there and hopefully you will reach an understanding. I cannot really "take sides" in this argument as I am not at all familiar with Naruto. Let me know if you cannot reach a consensus through discussion or if you have further questions. Databook scan

You could find it yourself. I'm not in the mood to scan and edit it. It's on page 109. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 06:51, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Category

Instead of blanking the category , wait for the CfD to finish. What you're doing is just confusing and disruptive. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 07:06, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're just being disruptive, intentionally or not. They are immortal, regardless of your belief otherwise. The parent category is appropriate. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 07:10, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nemu's wannabe

That seems rather unusual he was reverting to all of Nemu's previous versions and editing in the very same way, sockpuppet maybe? either way he was blocked for 48 hours if he does it again we have him blocked for vandalism. -Dark Dragon Flame 01:05, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sure thing, I am considering requesting semi-protection there just to let the vandalism wave cool down. -Dark Dragon Flame 01:13, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Categories

Quit being a wikilawyer and pay attention. It's really tiring. It does no good to categorize redirects. You cannot access redirects and navigate their categories through anything other than article editing. Furthermore, since the obvious has escaped you, you especially can't access foreign wiki versions of a redirect without needless trouble. Get it? — Someguy0830 (T | C) 01:20, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's not my problem if a few redirects are done incorrectly. However, I've told you why your actions are unnecessary. For once, accept that and move on. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 01:33, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Why should a redirect have a category? It's a page kept to take people to articles, it is not an article itself. Does George W Bush have all the categories of George W. Bush? Should it? No. This is common sense. Imagine how HUGE categories would get if filled with redirects. Infact, the only category the redirect George W Bush has is Category:Protected redirects which is clearly appropriate. --Deskana (request backup) 01:42, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Should I gather two or three more people to make you give up, PL, or are you going to stop now that three different people have told you why your actions are useless? — Someguy0830 (T | C) 01:46, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, answer me this: why do some of the Digimon characters that are redirected have categories in them? Please answer me. Power level (Dragon Ball) 01:50, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Because whoever made those articles has done an absolutely terrible job of properly formatting and categorizing them. I don't even know where to begin. Suffice to say that their screwups do not allow you to repeat their mistakes. Learn from mistakes, do not help spread them. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 02:04, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Give me the names of the pages and I will use AWB to remove all the categories. --Deskana (request backup) 02:05, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's much, much worse than that, Deskana. See Category:Data Digimon and pick the first thing. Suffice it to say that categorized redirects are the least of that article series' problems. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 02:10, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) There are WAY, WAY, too many Deskana. Some I think I remember at the moment are Birdramon, Garudamon, Megakabuterimon, Kabuterimon, Angemon, Wargreymon, and so many others. I'll find out later tonight though if I have the strength. Also, to Someguy0830, don't give me that "Learn from your mistakes and don't take other mistakes crap" because I actually thought that there was no prob in doing what I did. As I've said before in the past, I never do mistakes on purpose: only tests and other edits. I don't vandalize like a jerk-off since I've changed my ways. So, quit givin' me that gay speech because its useless. Power level (Dragon Ball) 02:17, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If it were useless you'd have caught on by now. You wouldn't keep arguing until an admin shot you down, which is basically the only thing that ever stops you from wikilawyering things into oblivion and beyond. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 02:19, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
ENOUGH!!! This conversation is over as of now. I'm gonna eat somethin'. Power level (Dragon Ball) 02:21, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'd like to point out that the only category Digimon redirects should be in is Category:Redirects from Digimon, as that seems to be the purpose of the category. ~SnapperTo 03:30, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nemu's articles for deletion

Just letting you know that he went ahead and nominated Tullece, Bojack and Janemba for deletion, I will add my comments there tomorrow since I have to sleep, see you then. -Dark Dragon Flame 05:05, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

So I've noticed. I guess I'll give my vote tomorrow too... Power level (Dragon Ball) 05:11, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well I was going to add my comment to the deletion denominations, but when I looked for the pages guess what I found, Yup Nemu redirected them, was there a consensus before this move or is he acting on his own again? -Dark Dragon Flame 19:39, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
To clear things up, it wasn't Nemu that closed it. It was the closing administrator. Power level (Dragon Ball) 05:54, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Rō Kaiōshin

Sorry for the late reply. No, I don't really approve of it. And if I moved it back again and told the user to talk about it on the talk page, he would just change it back to Rō Kaiōshin and give me the same reason: "He's not a dai." Plus, the article might be merged into a list, so I want to figure out what's going to happen to it before acting. // DecaimientoPoético 16:43, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"earthlings" is improper capitilization. Since Earth is planet, it is capitalized and, hence, so must "Earthling". See Martian for an example. Beowulph

Redirecting these pages is something that almost everyone at WP:DBZ agrees upon. Hate to break it to ya, but one person's disapproval will not be enough to keep the articles. // DecaimientoPoético 00:04, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dragonball Template

I was recentally taking a break from wikipedia and when I returned the Template for Dragonball Charecters was really messed up. am I the only one who liked it the way it was? DBZROCKS 23:02, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

About the new Template I think shortening it was a good idea but the charecters displayed seem random. We should display only a few charecters from each catagory ex: Saiyans: Son Goku Son Gohan Vegeta Humans: Kuririn Yamcha Tenshinhan Muten Roshi Bulma Aliens: Piccolo Frieza Majin Buu Androids: Doctor Gero 18 Cell ect. also I think that shortening it to that extent was to drastic DBZROCKS 23:21, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hearing

Not off hand, nor am I particularly concerned with filling it. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 09:14, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Genius is a subjective term, and the category has been removed more times than I can remember. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 09:17, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Do you simply like complaining about pointless crap? Really, you focus on the stupidest things then doggedly complain until you're shut down or get your way. Go do something useful. Geniuses are generally actually smart, not merely talented. Of all the examples you gave, only two are actually geniuses. Were we to judge in the respect of abiility, anyone with a shred of talent in any given field would be a genius. It defeats the purpose to have a category when it is so full you can barely navigate it. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 09:32, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Quit being impatient. Don't assume I agree with you because I don't respond instantly. Nothing obligates me to do so. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 09:33, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Find something better to do than complain about a category. I've explained myself and will not do so further just because you're incapable of letting it go. Shikamaru is a genius. Neji is talented. One does not equal the other. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 09:45, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have no idea what you're talking about now. Since you know what I mean, figure it out for yourself. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 09:53, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Like I said, figure it out on your own. I'm tired. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 09:56, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Slow down

While the amount of effort you put into Wikipedia is admirable, I think you need to slow down and find out a bit more about guidelines and policies. I see you making a lot of changes that don't fit into them, such as treating fictional characters as real people.[2] I'm also really disturbed by the way you treat your talk page, constantly blanking warnings and giving false edit summaries that you are somehow archiving them. I had to do quite a bit of digging to find out how often you've been warned for 3RR and civility violations - in itself a disturbing trend. I can only conclude that you don't really know how to deal with your talk page or you are intentionally trying to hide such warnings (your continual removal of links to what archives that do exist would support this idea). So just slow down, read up on policies and guidelines, and ask questions before you simply revert somebody else's edits. CovenantD 20:36, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Then remove them. You're misusing it. It does not apply the the innane and unused redirects you create en masse for no reason. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 23:13, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Quit acting stupid for once. I'm not willing to deal with it. Instead of actually reading what Retlor told you, in which he covered this very situation, you are acting stupid and asking me questions which have already been answered. Another thing, Orochimaru doesn't use soft physique modification. His version isn't surgery-based, it's a different jutsu. Furthermore, he's actually a collaboration of many tiny white snakes hiding inside human skin (344 spoilers), so most human tricks don't apply. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 00:04, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know Burdock and Ive explained the shortcut thing to you. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 00:14, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Artificial Beings

Hey P got a question for you. I know why Andriods, Robots/Cyborgs and Machine Mutants are on the respective page now. However do you really think they need to have there own list page? Just think about. I know if I remember there was a List of Artificial Beings in Dragon Ball, but bring it back would seem somewhat right would it not? I know they were put on them pages because of the nature of where they was created at but really none were naturally born with the exception of Dr Gero, A 17 and 18, Dr. Uiro (Wheeler) and Dr. Kochin but later made into artificial beings. I wanted to get your opinion on it. I am not making a big deal but it just doesn't seem right to put robots and androids as natural earthling with the exception of the ones I mention earlier. Machine Mutants well I think they could stay but again if not natural born but created into machines they could go if decided to put a new list for the AB.

Heat P 17:40, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's cool with me. Just wondering if you thought it would be ok to have a list for them but again I am still down with them being on their respective race lists. As for the title of the article? myself it seems ok to me but it is ok to change to that(List of earthling in Dragon Ball). Heat P 11:01, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Zarbon and Dodoria

The pages have been fine for a long time now. They are heavily important characters (responsible for idea behind masterminding the destruction of saiyan planet) etc. They appear more than super 17 and broly. It was never agreed in wikiproject dragonball that their pages be removed fully. This is blatant discrimination against characters. Please refrain yourself from destroying the pages. the preceding comment is by 149.68.98.18 (talkcontribs) 149.68.98.18: Please sign your posts!.

Overuse of templates

Just a quick note with some friendly advice regarding your usage of templates, often at inappropriate times. Please be more careful with what you post on userpages/user talks with templates, and make sure that the contents of the template actually apply to the situation. For example, your constant use of "Blatantvandal" and "Test4" in cases of content dispute. When somebody disagrees with you on the content of an article, that does not make them a "blatant vandal". You should discuss the problems on the articles talk page, and attempt to work it out rationally before you call them a "blatant vandal".

Also, your use of the sockpuppet tag. A sockpuppet, by definition, is an account created by a user that already has an account. So any IP/anon accounts cannot be sockpuppets, because they're not really accounts, they're just default usernames for people that haven't created accounts yet. And if somebody is on a dial-up connection, or using a public library/school connection, they'll have a lot of different IPs (a new one each time they connect, most likely), but that doesn't mean that they've got a lot of "sockpuppets", it just means that they're on a rotating IP. So claiming that each IP is a sockpuppet just clogs up the sockpuppet categories. Also, in most of those cases (especially in a case like an AOL IP, or a school computer lab) there are probably a lot of different users that have an equal chance of using the same IP, meaning that flagging an IP as a "sockpuppet" of an account is inaccurate, because the next day somebody entirely different and unrelated to that account could be using the same IP.

Anyway, just some advice I wanted to share. If you have any questions about templates or policies, feel free to let me know (here is fine, I'll watch this talk page for a while to keep responses all in one place) and I'll be happy to help you out anyway I can. --Maelwys 20:34, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, this is unfair. Deskana (an administrator) let me have a new start as User:Power level (Dragon Ball) and I have improved my behavior a little ever since Dragonball1986.
