February 2019

Information icon Hello, I'm Yosemiter. I noticed that you recently removed content from Lockport Regals without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.

Specifically, why did you revert the page back to this 2016 version when the team has clearly has played the last two seasons (no matter how poorly)? Yosemiter (talk) 17:08, 9 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for September 10

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sarnia Legionnaires. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:12, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Recent changes to Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League teams

I notice that you have uploaded multiple ice hockey logos from the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League to the commons, with a license that claims you personally own the copyright, instead of the teams. I also notice unexplained changes in date formats to day month year, which is not the common format for Ontario. Please explain. Flibirigit (talk) 17:58, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I work for the GOJHL & 90% of our stuff on here is incredibly outdated (Team logos, names, colours, etc.) Simply clicked the wrong license, they're owned by the individual teams. Wiki upload for images is very difficult to follow and check off the correct box. Philcar1994 (talk) 18:10, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Logos must be uploaded to Wikipedia under fair use, instead of to the Commons. Please see Wikipedia:Non-free content for details. All of the images will need to be deleted from the Commons. I also suggest reading Wikipedia:Conflict of interest if you work for the league itself. Flibirigit (talk) 18:49, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
