Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Wisconsin Education Association Council appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe this. Thank you. Rostz (talk) 16:58, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Wisconsin Education Association Council. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

 1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
 2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Rostz (talk) 17:00, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Edit War

Before you go around accusing other editors of edit-warring, you should probably learn what it means. I would highly suggest you read up on it. America69 (talk) 21:19, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I took this directly to a knowledgable administrator since you insist on adding something that doesn't belong. Also, here read this: [1]. America69 (talk) 21:24, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The entry was undone by one account one day, then your account the next which claims to be "not active." This appears as an edit war using a proxy. In addition, I did not accuse you, I simply warned you.

Please go to the talk page of this article, (including admins), where other users have made entries supporting the inclusion of Prediction Markets, specifically Intrade. Also included are scholarly articles. Talk:Wisconsin_gubernatorial_recall_election,_2012

Feel free to comment for or against Intrade on the talk page, instead of removing entries on the basis of "absolutely does not belong here... this is not done on any other pages." This is evidence you are emotionally compromised as well............. Patriot1010 (talk) 22:03, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

For the record, I do not use my IP to make multiple edits. I don't need too. Also, it is completely out of line on the "This is evidence you are emotionally compromised as well............." comment. And one user coming to the defense of intrade predictions would be "user" not "users". I have asked for additional comments from other editors who are strong contributors to election related articles for developing a consensus. I firmly believe you are acting with good intentions toward Wikipedia, and I hope you view myself as being the same. I wish to just develop a consensus, and if intrade is too stay, find a place where it is approiate. Thank you! America69 (talk) 23:32, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good America69, thanks! I apologize for that comment, it didn't really help anything...lol Patriot1010 (talk) 00:59, 3 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place help me before the question on your talk page. Again, welcome! Beside this somewhat apersonal template I wish to thank you more personally and also to wish you happy wikiing. Patriot1010 (talk) 02:35, 4 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I cleaned up the above to be a more useful welcome message (and so it was no longer a help request). Hope that's okay! DoriTalkContribs 03:00, 4 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Truce

I can agree to change suggested. Sorry for any personal attacks, I should have focused on my problems with the source. I still don't like intrade's method of "predicting" or listing predictions on individual election pages rather than the general overview pages as has been established, but I can accept it more in this form. I hope you didn't get the impression that I was some liberal nut job trying to keep it off the page because it looked good for Walker. I know it's a heated debate on both sides, so maybe it came across like that, but I actually support him so there was no political motivation for me protesting the addition, it was purely my issues with the source. Rxguy (talk) 03:30, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, and thanks! No need to apologize for the personal attacks, I used them to discredit your arguments:) I won't comment on "liberal nut job.".....although I won't comment that it didn't look good for Walker, either. I will say those prediction/speculator-y things for elections fascinate me, and in my opinion, screens out alot of bias in polling. I see you disagree with a source like that as much as I agree with them. Hit me up for comments if you need some this year! Patriot1010 (talk) 03:43, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Moved RfC on election pages

I moved the RfC on election pages you posted at WT:Requests_for_comment. That page isn't the right place to post requests for comment. The rfc template should be placed on the talk page of the article, where the discussion is taking place. For more information on RfCs, please see WP:RFC. I moved this RfC to Talk:Wisconsin_gubernatorial_recall_election#Intrade. Because there already was an RfC at that page, there ended up being two separate RfCs. I closed the second one by commenting out the rfc template. All discussion is still there, however. Coastside (talk) 21:46, 13 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

March 2013

Hello, I'm RolandR. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Talk:Karl Marx that didn't seem very civil, so it has been removed. Wikipedia needs people like you and me to collaborate, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. RolandR (talk) 08:10, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not attack other editors, as you did to Talk:Pogrom. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. RolandR (talk) 08:11, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

RolandR, please do not WP:Vandalize my contributions, and cease and desist your personal attacks on me (WP:Hounding), and soapoxing your POV via WP:GAME. Other editors have already reverted your vandalism, and if you continue, further actions will be taken against you. Gaming the system means deliberately using Wikipedia policies and guidelines in bad faith to thwart the aims of Wikipedia. Gaming the system may represent an abuse of process, disruptive editing, or otherwise evading the spirit of community consensus. Editors typically game the system to make a point, to further an edit war, or to enforce a specific non-neutral point of view.

I have left a warning on your talk page, Thanks! (which you promptly deleted - but you can't sweep that one under the rug!). Perhaps you shouldn't engage in such behavior in the first place! It will always come back to bite you. Patriot1010 (talk) 17:32, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I saw your discussion on Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents of how this category had been removed from your userpage by Illia Connell. Just to be clear, the specific category Category:Wikipedians by WikiProject does not actually apply to you, and no individual users should be listed there. If you look at that category, you will see that it is a category that only contains other categories -- the categories of members of specific WikiProjects. You probably just meant to list yourself in Category:WikiProject Conservatism members, where you are listed already, but you have the code for that on your userpage incorrect as well. You have it shown as:

It should be:

The "pipe" and blank space at the end of the current category entry means to list you at the start of the category, rather than alphabetically. You probably should be listed under P for "Patriot1010" instead. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 16:37, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think you missed the first point I was making above (but you took care of the second point). If you look at Category:Wikipedians by WikiProject, you will notice that you are the only individual user listed there -- everything else in the category is another category, not an individual user. The category is not meant to include individual users, just categories of WikiProject members. Please remove the line that says:

from your userpage, because it does not apply to you as an individual user. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 03:21, 21 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

 1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
 2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Exploring http://stats.grok.se (The Wikipedia Stats Page)

Some notes

Hey, Patriot1010, I've been kind of following your attempts to figure out stats.grok.se since your ANI thread. You've been seeking help from several other people, which is great. But it looks like you're running off the rails again, and I wanted to drop you a line before you get too lost in things. Let me put it bluntly: stats.grok.se cannot possibly be useful in any conceivable way for the identification of sockpuppets. The procedure you're outlining in your sandbox, to be frank, makes no sense whatsoever. All stats.grok.se does is record how many people attempted to view a given page on a given day. It doesn't record anything about who those people were, whether they were anonymous or logged-in users, or anything else. The way it works is that you put a page title (not a user name, a page title) into stats.grok.se, and it tells you how many people happened to visit the page at that title. That's all those bars mean. When, in your firststep, you enter "Patriot1010", the stats and graphs it's giving you are not related in any way to you as a user; it's related to the page titled Patriot1010. Trying to then cross-reference that data with the logs and edits on User:Patriot1010, User talk:Patriot1010, and User:Patriot1010/sandbox makes no kind of sense, since all three of those pages are completely separate from and have nothing to do with the page titled Patriot1010, which is the only one you have data for. I hope this makes sense; if you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them, and I'm sure the others you've contacted would be equally willing. WP:OP mass listing

Hi there, I removed a whole bunch of entries you dumped onto the open proxy request page for several reasons. 1.) They were malformed. 2.) They did not provide a reason for the check. 3.) I really have no idea what you're trying to get done. Could you please form complete requests or drop an explanation here of what you're trying to do? Sailsbystars (talk) 17:37, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Malformed? What is the appropriate form? According to opening an IP range there was no specified form. The first one was a US company, with previous edits. What is wrong with that? I followed the template - am I missing something? Thanks!Patriot1010 (talk) 17:40, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You're not filling out the proxyip4 template and you're not explaining why the IPs are being listed for starters. I also don't understand what you mean by "The first one was a US company with previous edits." Why is that justification for checking? I really don't understand. You mention deskana? But I don't understand how that's relevant.... I also see you're doing some experiments with the stats tool I don't understand. is this related to that? 207.195.240.0/20 = 178.63.0.0/16

Block was for Hetzner Online AG in Germany. As everyone can see, this IP has changed to Customer Route Object - Global TAC (24731) in the US, and was confirmed changed by an administrator of a private corporation. (See the address per the proxyip4 template above). So unless the previously blocked user moved to the US and now works for Global Tac, which is far from likely, lets unblock this range!

That's odd, same block log as 207.195.240.33...except I requested a block for 207.195.240.33DIFF 195.240.33...DIFF:207.195.240.0/20 but it was closed with no block...So technically this IP range is blocked but it isn't blocked at the same time Patriot1010 (talk) 06:08, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This entry appeared to be messed up, so I will investigate why the template failed.

Public IP of 86.188.224.210 is actually from 86.0.0.0/15

Record of proxy entry, for sockpuppet investigation.

User:Owen2kuk(User Owen2kuk) had to revert 3 edits from this IP DIFF: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Royston,_Hertfordshire&curid=279710&diff=547614813&oldid=547585335 .Upon checking OverlordQ tools, this IP - this IP is really a spoof. The actual IP range is from 86.0.1.89, and according to ip.robtex.com, is on 5 blacklists for spamming (http://ip.robtex.com/86.0.1.89.html#blacklists ). Also according to OverlordQ tools, the actual IP has many ips behind it. Furthermore, the IP has a pointer to a legitimate website (http://ip.robtex.com/86.0.1.89.html#graph) but it actually goes to ip 86.0.0.0/16, with routes of 86.0.0.0/11, 86.0.0.0/13, 86.0.0.0/14, and appears to currently route to 86.0.0.0/15. Therefore, I recommend a block to 86.0.0.0/15 also, and will reference this record. The web-proxy is coming from the website http://bgp.he.net/ip/86.0.1.89#_rbl, indicated below. I included all the urls and will record this finding on my talk page for record. http://bgp.he.net/ip/86.0.1.89#_rbl Reason: Suspicious edits Patriot1010 (talk) 14:04, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It took me all of three seconds to find a active tor node in the range. Do you have the rangecontrib checking javascript enabled? Sailsbystars (talk) 06:50, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm have a link for that? I just use OverlordQ tools. For example - this range has 2 edits, one from 178.0.0.104 and one from 178.0.1.71....so if this range has been blocked since 2008 - how was IP 178.0.1.71 able to post on 15 MAR 2013? Wow that is unusual. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Music_Never_Stopped&diff=prev&oldid=544496339 . (Sorry for not making a DIFF - things seem to change day by day). Patriot1010 (talk) 03:00, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Here Ill put the little line noted in the history: 23:35, 15 March 2013‎ 178.0.0.104 (talk)‎ . . (3,863 bytes) (+30)‎ . . (linking the essay to the book it is from)...because you know, that IP range is in rolandr.nl, here is the robtx records, available to the public of course http://dns.robtex.com/rolandr.nl.html#records. It might be related to my sockpuppet investigation.Patriot1010 (talk) 03:04, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
As Gogo Dodo said on the open proxy page, neither 178.0.0.104 nor 178.0.1.71 are within the 178.63.0.0/16 range, which is why it was able to post. I'm afraid you still seem to have no clue how IP addresses and ranges work, so I'm not sure that you'll be able to help the open proxy project. It might be best to refrain from posting there. Writ Keeper (t + c) 03:52, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You seem to have forgotten, Writ Keeper, that at the top of the page it states: 'All users are welcome to discuss on the talk page, report possible proxies, or request that a blocked IP be rechecked." - So by all means if what you say is true either a). Show me a page where it explains what you are talking about, b). Change the top of the page and state no one besides you or your designee is permitted to "report possible proxies, or request that a blocked IP be rechecked," and if you cannot provide either a). nor b). then please do not tell me to refrain from reporting. Thanks. Patriot1010 (talk) 05:43, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It was just a suggestion, not a command or anything. The CIDR page has been linked for you multiple times, though. Writ Keeper (t + c) 13:15, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Writ, for taking the time to point out the link. I will learn more to avoid more gobblygook, thanks!Patriot1010 (talk) 01:10, 3 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
