Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Yuvarathnaa, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Diffs: [1] Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:46, 6 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also, re: this, your change is incorrect. Per MOS:ACROFIRSTUSE. We identify abbreviations in full before using the abbreviated form. We do not require reader to click a link to learn what Adv. is. That's just lazy. And not everybody is going to intuitively know what "Adv." means. The correct version would be "Advocate (Adv.)", but the Adv. is totally unnecessary since we never use the honourific a second time in the article. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:06, 6 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

We do not use ampersands in encyclopedic prose.

Re: these edits, barring a few exceptions, we do not use ampersands (&) in encyclopedic prose. We use the word "and" instead. I've fixed your mistake twice so far. Please stop. Further, per MOS:HEAD, we do not use "pseudoheadings" formatted like ;Main cast. The correct sub-heading is formatted ===Main cast===. Also, we don't typically sub-divide film cast lists. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:17, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Racha (film) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver)
added a link pointing to Venu Madhav
V (film) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver)
added a link pointing to Superintendent

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:59, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive edits

Again, re: these edits, we do not use ampersands in encyclopedic prose. We Also Do Not Write Like This, so it's unclear why you chose to include "A Government Officer", as none of those is a proper noun. Further, you seem to be making a strange distinction in your mind of what a starring role is, and what a leading role is. Typically starring roles are the lead roles. And typically there aren't half a dozen stars of a film. Since your edits don't quite make sense, they have been reverted. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:52, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Pushpa

Do not change the cast of this film as this is Wikipedia:CRYSTAL if you keep changing it, it may result in a loss of your editing privileges. GODUBNATION (talk) 18:15, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Need clarification

I need clarification on this edit, please, because the phrasing, as I have mentioned before, is very confusing. You changed:

"The film stars Mahesh Babu and Rashmika Mandanna, with Vijayashanti, Prakash Raj, and Rajendra Prasad in supporting roles."

to

"The film stars Mahesh Babu and Rashmika Mandanna, with Vijayashanti, Prakash Raj, and Rajendra Prasad in lead roles."

In your mind you are somehow differentiating a starring role from a lead role, or at least I assume because you left the "with" behind and have created two groups of people, Babu/Mandanna and Vijayashanti/Raj/Prasad. What, in your mind, is the difference between a starring role and a lead role? Because this phrasing doesn't make any sense to me and I need clarification, please. If you don't clarify and you restore this change again, I will have no choice but to interrupt your editing privileges, as we can't allow people to continuously insert poorly-worded content into articles over and over. I encourage you to respond below, please. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:45, 13 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. You were specifically blocked for this odd resubmission even though I asked you to explain what you think the difference between a star and a lead is. You failed to do so and resubmitted the change, which to me looks like you don't know what you're doing. Though some of your changes have been useful, some have not.
 1. Here, per MOS:ABBREV, when we use abbreviations, we spell out what the abbreviation means, followed by the abbreviation. We do not rely on links to communicate information to readers. So "DSP Satyam Patkar" is wrong. The correct way to format this is: "Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Satyam Patkar" We indicate the full title, then we provide the abbreviation. The next time we can just use the abbreviation, ex: DSP Smythe. "ACP Malik" is wrong. "Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP)" is right.
 2. Here, the article's lead indicates that Mohanlal, Vijay, and Kajal Aggarwal are the stars, yet you added supporting actors to the |starring= parameter of the infobox. Why? Do you not know the difference between "starring" and "appearing in"?
 3. Here you arbitrarily reorder cast members. Why?

I strongly recommend you start responding to notices on your talk page. Editors who persistently make problematic edits and are silent on top of it, are very quick to wind up blocked.

If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: .  Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:27, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently making disruptive edits, and for failing to respond to legitimate queries about your problematic edits. At this point, your repeated submission of these problematic changes really looks like trolling or incompetence. Either way, that's not constructive. When you are ready to discuss, please do so below.

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Prakash Raj filmography, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Superintendent (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
