Hi Baek - Wind Simplicity is a Canadian Wind Turbine Manufacturer - that is a fact. I believe I added a link to the website,. All other companies have links to their websites.

The section on small wind turbines says that direct-drive wind turbines are being researched. Wind Simplicity designed a direct-drive wind turbine in 2004 and it has been on the market since then.

What I wrote below is also factual information. I have qualified my statement by adding "according to the makers".

Canadian company Wind Simplicity has designed and manufactured the Windancer™ horizontal-axis small wind turbine (3kW, 7kW and 23kW). The Windancer is direct-drive and has a biomorphic 8-blade 2-rotor design and a larger wind tail inspired by nature that immediately responds to changes in wind direction, countering the torque of the blades and resulting in negligible noise and vibration, according to the makers. The Windancer has an adjustable automatic high wind speed cut-off device and its safety features include a permanent stationary lightning arrestor at the highest point.[22]

The Windancer also happens to be a multi-award-winning wind turbine and that is also a fact. It is important that Wikipedia readers get the facts about new technology because the content on wind turbines is currently dominated by the big companies and their old technology.

I am new to Wikipedia, so apologies for not getting the format right but I really believe what I wrote were facts.

Best regards

Niki

The added content has a few issues - it's worded much like marketing text, formatting problems (such as the "tm" symbol), and lacks a reliable source - also, you'll note that the article generally avoids placing any one company above others by avoiding mentioning specific manufacturers except where used for historical context - so your addition stands out. For the material above, do you have a third-party source available (journal, magazine, newspaper, book, industry site, etc) that can be used as a source? Primary sources from companies is rarely acceptable as a reliable source.
On the List of wind turbine manufacturers, no other company has a direct link to their website (some have links to Wikipedia articles about them, and a handful incorrectly have their company sites listed as refs), but no direct links. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 01:51, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply Barek. Yes I can source some articles, so once I do that I will give it another go. I will use the articles to a Wikipedia article about the company and link to it. Best regards Niki
