I would be interested in knowing why you feel the external link to Elife in the article about Electronic Data Interchange makes a positive contribution to knowledge about the subject. It merely lists some capabilities of one particular EDI product. There are hundreds of such products. Chrisj1948 (talk) 10:21, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi chris, im not sure how to edit information, or respond to messages in wiki.. I hope you got this message.. well, youre right. I added the link based on what some clients asked for, they were asing why the coupler wasnt listed on wiki, so I listed it here. Do you think its better to remove the link? Thanks-Nadra

Wiki isn't too hot for this sort of communication. In general links to commercial sites are discouraged in Wikipedia unless they give some information which is very relevant to the article, to discourage the use of Wikipedia as a marketing tool. Obviously I feel that because of the large number of EDI software houses which exist a link to any of them is inappropriate. You can always raise the matter on the EDI article talk page and see what the community feeling is about it. Thanks for getting back to me about this. Regards. Thanks Chris for notifying me about this. I wouldnt want any trouble on wiki.. well i opened the EDI Discussion page, and it seems its not a good idea to list my link in the external links :) Have a nice day!
