A tag has been placed on Difference United requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Sandcat01 (talk) 15:09, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Difference United

Hello Myreasonwhy, this is a message from an automated bot to inform you that the page you created, Difference United, has been marked for speedy deletion by User:Biruitorul. This has been done because the page seems to be about a person, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant (see CSD). If you think the tag was placed in error, please add "{{hangon}}" to the page text, and edit the talk page to explain why the page should not be deleted. If you have a question about this bot, please ask it at User talk:SDPatrolBot II. If you have a question for the user who tagged the article, see User talk:Biruitorul. Thanks, - SDPatrolBot II (talk) on behalf of Biruitorul (talk · contribs) 07:46, 24 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Difference United has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No improvement since Dec. 2013. The only claim to fame is that they have music that has played on the radio, but there is no support for charting success. Not a notable band per WP:MUSICBIO.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of Difference United for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Difference United is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Difference United until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:35, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article has not been nominated for a speedy deletion so adding a hangon template isn't much good. Another editor removed it. If you would like to explain why the article should remain on Wikipedia, that should be done at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Difference United. Be prepared to explain how the band is notable and meets either WP:BAND, WP:GNG or some other notability guidelines. Walter Görlitz (talk) 20:24, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Myreasonwhy, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

I've fixed your mistakes now you do it

Three times I've fixed your mistake of adding <ref> tags on discussion pages and even though there's a big error on the page, you don't seem to get that you shouldn't be adding them. If it's a Wikipedia page you're linking to do it like this: [[page name]]. If it's an external link, just add the URL. No cite template needed and certainly no reference tags. Fix your mess. Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:45, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the advise and patience. I was using the templates tool but will try and make use of the above tags in the future. Myreasonwhy (talk) 01:51, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
