Mr. Nightshirt, I sincerely apologize for my questionable actions on the Hudson High School page. I understand the severity of the incident and want you to know it was only changed for a moment's time in order to prove to my friend that he needed to delete another such passage. GAC backlog elimination drive

This form message is being sent to you either due to your membership with WikiProject Good Articles and/or your inclusion on the Wikipedia:Good article candidates/List of reviewers. A new drive has been started requesting that all members review at least one article (or more, if you wish!) within the next two weeks at GAC to help in removing the large backlog. This message is being sent to all members, and even members who have been recently reviewing articles. There are almost 130 members in this project and about 180 articles that currently need to be reviewed. If each member helps to review just one or two articles, the majority of the backlog will be cleared. Since the potential amount of reviewers may significantly increase, please make sure to add :{{GAReview}} underneath the article you are reviewing to ensure that only one person is reviewing each article. Additionally, the GA criteria may have been modified since your last review, so look over the criteria again to help you to determine if a candidate is GA-worthy. If you have any questions about this drive or the review process, leave a message on the GAC talk page. --Nehrams2020 01:03, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

July 2007 GAC backlog elimination drive

A new elimination drive of the backlog at Wikipedia:Good article candidates will take place from the month of July through August 12, 2007. There are currently about 130 articles that need to be reviewed right now. If you are interested in helping with the drive, then please visit Wikipedia:Good article candidates backlog elimination drive and record the articles that you have reviewed. Awards will be given based on the number of reviews completed. If you have any questions about this drive or the review process, leave a message on the drive's talk page. Please help to eradicate the backlog to cut down on the waiting time for articles to be reviewed.

You have received this message either due to your membership with WikiProject: Good Articles and/or your inclusion on the Wikipedia:Good article candidates/List of reviewers. --Nehrams2020 03:43, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

GA Review of the "Development history of The Elder Scrolls series"

Thanks for the review, Mouse Nightshirt! I have raised some questions over at that article's talk page. Please address them when you find the time. Thanks again, Geuiwogbil 15:33, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the clarification, Mouse Nightshirt. I believe I've implemented most of your suggestions. Could you take a look at the article again? Many thanks! Geuiwogbil 16:53, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

GA Review

Thanks for the useful criticism of BX (sternwheeler) at Talk:BX (sternwheeler). CindyBo (the main editor) has improved the article by extending references, removing weasel words and general editing improving it considerably. Content concerning the financial situation of the steamer has been added as far as it can be sourced at this time but she and I have discussed how we might come up with criticism to balance things off and have been unable to find any criticism. As to "saying so" about there being none, we can figure out how to cite sources for things that can be found, but not how to cite authority to say criticism can't be found. Is there something you can point us to or suggest as to how we might do that? --KenWalker | Talk 20:16, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the quick response. I have passed it on to CindyBo as well. We will see what we can do about the info box sources. --KenWalker | Talk 21:17, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the help you have been with GA review on this article. It is the first time I have had anything to do with the process which I found interesting and useful. CindyBo has done a series of related articles that are valuable additions to Wikipedia and I am glad to see her work recognized in this way. --KenWalker | Talk 00:13, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

David Falk GA Review

Greetings! Thank you very much for choosing to review the David Falk article. I have now made all the changes you suggested on the talk page. The article is ready for re-review. Joseph Petek 02:02, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks! I'm very glad you pointed out that I had no proper reference for his birth year. In fact, I had found an article that said he was 50 in 2001, so I had assumed his birth year was 1951. Actually, that was incorrect... because of course if he was born later in the year than the article was printed (June 18), then he could have been born in 1950.
But with just a bit of digging, I have definitive proof of his birth year, at the very least, even though I am still unable to find his exact birth date. He was born in 1950... and here's how I know:
I've added three references to articles that list Falk's age. #2 says that he was 40 on August 14, 1991 (which seems to suggest 1951)... but #3 says that he was 46 on November 17, 1996 (which seems to suggest 1950). This proves that his birthday falls between August 14 and November 17, and that his actual birth year is definetely 1950.
Isn't this good enough? I've seen plenty of Wikipedia entries that don't list exact birth dates... It even says on the Biographies of Living persons guidelines that some people consider birth date private information, and don't want it listed (identity theft, etc.). I'm hoping this article can pass GA if this is the only problem, because Falk's birthday simply isn't out there, short of contacting Falk himself, which I don't know how to do... Joseph Petek 15:19, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
Just wondering when you can look at the article again... if you want more changes I'm going to want a little time to implement them. Joseph Petek 20:06, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
The additional changes you requested have been made. Joseph Petek 00:11, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
One question: now that the article has passed for GA, am I supposed to request that the WikiProjects it falls under confirm it as GA on their own quality scales, or do I just change them all to GA on the talk page myself? I'm relatively new to Wikipedia... I don't know these things :). Joseph Petek 15:51, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Ah, well it looks like I have my answer: the Biography quality scale seems to say that an article is GA for the project if it is GA in general. I'm going to go ahead and change the B to a GA in this case... if I am violating some rule by doing so (since I'm the primary author), or if I have construed things wrongly, please kindly correct me! Joseph Petek 16:11, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Belarus at the Olympics

Quick question, is this what you mean by sourcing the table? Belarus_at_the_Olympics#Medal_table. If so, what I had to do is modify the medals table to include the source section. Thanks for the tips you gave (and sorry for lack of images). User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 22:20, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

One of the other issues you had was POV. It wasn't intentional, but what I am doing now is finding citations about doping problems. If there is one thing I admit Belarus has a problem with, it is drugs. Public funding, I can check. Prose is one of my worst points. Sourcing I am still working on. It should be ready for GA in about a week or so. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 22:53, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
I made some more additions to the page. Honestly, if you still gave me those 7 days, I could have easily fixed up what you wanted. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 06:19, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Try take a look at what the concerns are in the review at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Good articles/GA nominees task force/GAC backlog elimination drive#GA reviews with concerns and find that article's section. It shouldn't be hard to address the trivia section. You're not in any danger of being stripped of your awards because you completed 11 so that even if Lord of the Rings game review is not considered as good, you still completed 10 satisifying reviews, and still eligible for Tirless Contributor Barnstar. What Lara, Giggy, and I were talking about is that some made around 5 reviews but almost all are bad reviews so the count for "good review" is way below 5, and hence could be stripped with barnstar if the community reaches this consensus. But once again, we have to wait for other opinions as barnstar has never been stripped before. OhanaUnitedTalk page 15:09, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Enforcerboxart.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Enforcerboxart.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:34, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

Redirect of K608i

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on K608i, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because K608i is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting K608i, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. GA Sweeps invitation

Hello, I hope you are doing well. I am sending you this message since you are listed as a GA reviewer. I would like to invite you to consider helping with the GA sweeps process. Sweeps helps to ensure that the oldest GAs still meet the criteria, and improve the quality of GAs overall. Unfortunately, last month only two articles were reviewed. This is definitely a low point after our peak at the beginning of the process when 163 articles were reviewed in September 2007. After nearly two years, the running total has just passed the 50% mark. In order to expediate the reviewing, several changes have been made to the process. A new worklist has been created, detailing which articles are left to review. All exempt and previously reviewed articles have already been removed from the list. Instead of reviewing by topic, you can consider picking and choosing whichever articles interest you.

We are always looking for new members to assist with the remaining articles, so if you are interested or know of anybody that can assist, please visit the GA sweeps page. In addition, for every member that reviews 100 articles or has a significant impact on the process, s/he will get an award when they reach that threshold. If only 14 editors achieve this feat starting now, we would be done with Sweeps! Of course, having more people reviewing less articles would be better for all involved, so please consider asking others to help out. Feel free to stop by and only review a few articles, something's better than nothing! Take a look at the list, and see what articles interest you. Let's work to complete Sweeps so that efforts can be fully focused on the backlog at GAN. If you have any questions about the process, reviewing, or need help with a particular article, please contact me or OhanaUnited and we'll be happy to help. --Happy editing! Please update your status with WP:VG

Dear WikiProject Video games member,

You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months.

The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.

All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:

Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

Campos/Hispania

I have reverted your edits to the Campos Meta and Hispania Racing pages. The team name remains unconfirmed; only one source - a Spanish news agency - is reporting it. Seveal other sources claim Hispania Racing may not even be their first choice for a new name. The final entry list is expected from the FIA in a matter of days, which will clear up all confusion over the matter. Until then, we wait. The page stays as Campos Meta; please don't go editing it - or anything related to it - like that again. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 01:47, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

Hi there NNRos - I've had a look at the article and think it reads very much like an advertisement as opposed to an encyclopaedic article. For example, the lead of the article does not describe the company at all (have a look at WP:LEAD and the rest of the article is not styled encylopaedically as per WP:MOS. I still do not see what it is about this company that warrants an encylopaedic entry, however, I think it may be done in such a way that may meet that. I'll have a word with WP:RFC to get their input on this one. Mouse Nightshirt | talk 22:08, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

Reply from NNRos

Thank you for your reply. I am new to Wikipedia and having trouble following all the rules to a Tee. Please keep me updated on what you find out froom WP:RFC. Meanwhile, I will familiarize myself with WP:MOS and WP:LEAD. I really appreciate your input and hope we can make this page more encyclopedic-like as the company is a unique government agency with exclusivity that other companies do not have.

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:XCom Apoc screen 2.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:01, 28 June 2012 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi, at Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge we're striving to bring about 10,000 article improvements and creations for the UK and Ireland and inspire others to create more content. In order to achieve this we need diversity of content, in all parts of the UK and Ireland on all topics. Eventually a regional contest will be held for all parts of the British Isles, like they were for Wales and the Wedt Country. We currently have just over 1900 articles and need contributors! If you think you'd be interested in collaborating on this and helping reach the target quicker, please sign up and begin listing your entries there as soon as possible! Thanks.♦ --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 13:41, 28 September 2016 (UTC)

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)

New deal for page patrollers

Hi Mouse Nightshirt,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

Greetings Recent Changes Patrollers!

This is a one-time-only message to inform you about technical proposals related to Recent Changes Patrol in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey that I think you may be interested in reviewing and perhaps even voting for:

  1. Adjust number of entries and days at Last unpatrolled
  2. Editor-focused central editing dashboard
  3. "Hide trusted users" checkbox option on watchlists and related/recent changes (RC) pages
  4. Real-Time Recent Changes App for Android
  5. Shortcut for patrollers to last changes list

Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)

Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.

Note: You received this message because you have transcluded {{User wikipedia/RC Patrol}} (user box) on your user page. Since this message is "one-time-only" there is no opt out for future mailings.

Best regards, SteviethemanDelivered: 01:12, 8 December 2016 (UTC)

Edit of page Anesthesiologist

Hello, I had been copy-editing that page Anesthesiologist for a while. Recently you did a change by deleting a paragraph from the lead in which anesthesiology practice in the US was described. I wanted to ask that apart from deleting the data.. Can we place that paragraph in the US section instead?? Red Pen (talk) 11:27, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
