Bucknell meal plans

Thanks for the correction to my correction on Bucknell University. This must have been a recent change--only freshmen needed to buy meal plans in the 90s when I was there. Tlesher 21:17, 19 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It may be a policy caused by the new food management corporation. – Mipadi 23:16, 19 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

brian d foy

I do not want brian d foy "clarified," I want it corrected. Making it all caps makes it correct. As it is, it is incorrect. I would like it moved. Cheers. Pudgenet 22:50, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, no, you're wrong. It can be corrected. It can be moved to a new item called "BRIAN D FOY". Why do you say it cannot be corrected? And when you say you have a template in place "to deal with the technical limitation," that's wrong too, because the title is, in fact, still erroneous. It would no longer be erroneous, however, if it were moved to "BRIAN D FOY". Which is the point, that you have not addressed. Cheers. Pudgenet 02:22, 27 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Star Wars merges

Hey man, I noticed you were into merges as well. I merged a few items into devices, droids, vehicles, and many others. I also created new lists for companies (manufacturers), substances, and so on. What other lists do you think we can do without objection? Deckiller 22:42, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Currently, I'd like to create the following:

Those latter few will basically split the minor vehicles list. Deckiller 22:56, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I also suggest that, when fancruft and merging and cleanup is near completion for the Star Wars articles, that we create some templates. Deckiller 23:35, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm currently working on a List of Rogue Squadron pilots in which I hope to merge all the various Rogue Squadron pilot articles into a single list. Aside from that, I have a few items on my to-do list regarding Star Wars. My biggest project is a complete rewrite of the Clone Wars article, as discussed here. I'm also cleaning up List of Star Wars weapons, and I'd like to merge Clone weaponry with that article as well. I'd also like to get rid of the redundancy of List of Star Wars books and List of Star Wars references (a merge was in progress—I don't know what's become of it). There's a few other odds and ends on my to-do list regarding Star Wars, if you want to take a look. Feel free to leave any comments on my talk page. – Mipadi 06:08, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, cool. Do you think the above merges sound like good ideas? I mean, merging together at least the stubs wouldn't stir up a hornet's nest. Deckiller 20:30, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I like your merge ideas. Can't go wrong with merging stubs, especially stubs that are never, ever going to be developed into lengthy articles. I'd say go ahead and do those whenever you have the chance. – Mipadi 22:54, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Cool. Which naming style do you think is best? List of.... or ...in Star Wars? Deckiller 22:56, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'd go with a "List of…" style of naming—that's what the style guide suggests is most appropriate. – Mipadi 22:57, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Air vehicles list is complete. So is the aquatic vehicles list. Deckiller 23:16, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Nice. If I can assist with anything else, let me know. – Mipadi 23:34, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, okay. What would you say our limits would be for this? Also, what do you think we should do about the little tables for each ground vehicle/starfighter stub? Deckiller 23:41, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, remember Wikipedia's motto: Be Bold. If you think something can be merged, I say go ahead and do it. The worst that will happen is someone disagrees and undoes it.
Having said that, sometimes, when making major changes, it is advisable to discuss it first. Merging stub articles will probably not get a huge outcry; merging large articles might, so you might want to post a {{merge}} notice first and let users discuss the proposal.
As for the starfighter boxes, I'd personally keep them, and merge them onto the new page. Well, to be honest, I personally wouldn't mind dispensing with them, but people might get annoyed if you unilaterally decide to do that. – Mipadi 23:52, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
-=nods=- I've been a mergist for a few months, especially on video game pages, but I'm relatively new to the Star Wars merges (two weeks at the most). I already had one person disagree, so that made me a little paranoid ^_^. Deckiller 00:01, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I used and abused the merge tag over at the FF pages :) Deckiller 00:02, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I like the work done so far—keep it up! – Mipadi 00:10, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks ^_^ I'll try and get the other two lists started before Survivor: Panama. Deckiller 00:28, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It may appear to be a mess right now; I have to merge all the references (footnote style, I assume) before redirecting. Deckiller 00:41, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I also created a List of Star Wars support craft for shuttles, etc. Survivor is coming on, so I'm gonna have to take an hour break. Deckiller 00:58, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vote on move request

Thanks, but (oh noooo!!!) you inadvertently put back one of the errors I had fixed! I am fixing it again.---CH 04:52, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, but I can't see to find any edits I made in that article. – Mipadi 05:21, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject

We're planning on starting a WikiProject for Starwars with the hope of creating a gathering place (in other words, enhancing communication) so that we can merge, cleanup, remove cruft, the whole nine yards. The proposal section is here: Wikipedia:Wikiproject/List of proposed projects#Star Wars. Thanks, and I look forward to working with you. Deckiller 21:24, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Project

The StarWars WikiProject will be starting soon, here is what I have down so far: User:Deckiller/WikiProject Star Wars. We have 7-9 people interested so far. Deckiller 21:47, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That looks really good—I'll be more than happy to be a part of it! – Mipadi 23:29, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject up

See Wikipedia:WikiProject Star Wars. Thanks! Deckiller 17:11, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Awesome. nice work! – Mipadi 17:19, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, I'm thinking that we're going to need to focus on a major task together right now: merging stubs, finishing list creation, and that sort of thing. That'll release a burdon off our sholders and let us focus on the other tasks. Deckiller 22:34, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think that would be good. Do you have any more specific ideas in those areas? – Mipadi 00:47, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I listed a few proposals/ideas on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Star Wars/things to do page, but I think we should create specific lists for each type of character, based on whatever common item we can find (residence, affiliation). That will really help us with the stub merging without creating 150kb lists. Deckiller 13:59, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, have you signed up officially for it yet? ^_^ Deckiller 01:55, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Whoops! Well, now I have! – Mipadi 02:08, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

You're getting a barnstar from me once your current projects are complete. OUTSTANDING WORK, my friend :) Deckiller 21:58, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Incentive to work even harder, I guess! – Mipadi 22:03, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Of course, after about 3 hours of work, I've only completed the first five months of the Clone Wars. I am considering being a bit more judicious in what information I leave in. A lot of those battle articles have way too much detail, especially for tiny battles that are not really canon per se (i.e. only appear in a videogame). Probably a lot of the information can be left out without any real loss in clarity. Otherwise, rewriting the article is going to take a long, long time. – Mipadi 22:07, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. I mean, we have boxes on stats from the fictional battles. That stuff is perfect for, say, wookiepedia, but I think we have to be very selective. I also agree that we should do the same for every other major conflict. I do agree with keeping some of the major battles, such as Battle of Hoth, Endor, Geonosis, Yavin, and so on. Deckiller 22:24, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
We might want to transfer this talk to the WikiProject :) Deckiller 22:25, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

Like with the trivial Clone War battle pages, games like Galactic Battlegrounds have multiple articles dedicated to battles from a level in teh video game. I posted my comments about it on the wikiproject talk page. Deckiller 23:31, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Great! Where exactly are your comments posted? I must be dense because I am having trouble finding them! — Mipadi 17:11, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Star Wars voting

Please make sure you vote for the Star Wars selected article, list and picture by Monday. Jedi6 10:27, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Clone Wars page

Saw your test page for the Clone Wars with the merging and all. Looks great, good job :). —Mirlen 17:29, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I'm hoping to have it done soon, but my iBook hasn't been working and I haven't gotten it fixed yet. I can only use a computer at work, and, well…can't really edit Wikipedia at work. ;) – Mipadi 18:15, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If you want me to replace it for you or anything like that, give a shout over at my talk page :). —Mirlen 01:55, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. :) Well, it was old and the logic board went (again). It was only two months out of warranty, too. :( I opted to just replace it with a newer model—I was going to get a new one in the next six to eight months, anyway. I wanted to wait for the Intel iBooks, but, eh, what are you gonna do? – Mipadi 17:31, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Star Wars collaboration

File:Star Wars Tie-Fighter-Vaders.jpg You showed support for the Star Wars Collaboration of the week.
This week Count Dooku was selected to be improved to featured article status. We hope you can contribute.

Star Wars Clone Wars

Star Wars: Clone Wars has been nominated for the Star Wars Collaboration of the Week. I know you were working on a subpage for it but since you haven't edited it for a month it might become the collaboration of the week. Please respond on my talk page on how you are doing. Jedi6-(need help?) 00:25, 18 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's still in progress. I had some computer problems, then midterms got the best of me, and then I was gone for a week for spring break. – Mipadi 15:05, 18 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
