Stop icon This is your only warning; if you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising again, as you did at Spirulina (dietary supplement), you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Zefr (talk) 01:08, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Can you tell me a bit more why? I will be happy to edit or improve so this doesn't happen again. Not sure why this is considered soapboxing, promotion or advertising 2600:1700:8010:8F0:553:288B:A5C3:3E99 (talk) 01:16, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This is a commercial spam website full of misinformation. None of the 'health benefits' mentioned is a fact. Health and anti-disease effects discussed in the encyclopedia need to be sourced to a WP:MEDRS review. There is no such source for spirulina, whether fresh, frozen, powdered or otherwise. Thank you for the detailed information. i will review and make note to be sure I'm following the appropriate Wikipedia policy. 2600:1700:8010:8F0:7A48:1A7D:D60A:1EA5 (talk) 01:44, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Quick question if you don't mind. If I publish non-medical info, like the history of spirulina or what % of US adults consume it in fresh frozen form or that sort of information, would that be ok or still need to be reviewed by WP:MEDRS because the page is health related? 2600:1700:8010:8F0:553:288B:A5C3:3E99 (talk) 15:38, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you have a WP:RS source that supports consumption trends, then MEDRS would not apply, and that information may have value. It would be best to introduce the idea first on the article talk page, with a draft of the content and the proposed source, to allow other editors to review and agree to it. That is a great suggestion. I will do that. Thank you. 2600:1700:8010:8F0:553:288B:A5C3:3E99 (talk) 16:52, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
