Abdul Basset Ghandour (Arabic: [عبد الباسط غندور] Error: {{Lang}}: text has italic markup (help); was born January 25, 1924 – April 12, 2008) was a Lebanese Judge from 1978 until retiring from service in 1992, as President of the Judicial Council.

Born in Beirut to Lebanese parents. After obtaining a law degree in 1942 from the St. Joseph University in Beirut, he practised law before getting appointed a first instance judge in Tripoli.

Ghandour name rouse in 1967 when he ruled to bankrupt Intra Bank. The collapse of Intra Bank brought a swathe of new banking regulations for the Lebanese banking sector, although these were not enough to restore faith in the Lebanese banking sector to its pre-Intra levels.

His name rouse again in 1987 while appointing a judge to investigate the assassination of Prime Minister Rashid Karami. Karami was killed after a bomb was placed in his Aérospatiale Puma helicopter en route to Beirut.

Married to psychologist at American University of Beirut, Dr. Maryam Ghandour, in December 1966. They had two sons, Imad and Karim, and a daughter, Riyam.
