Conflict of Interest
Your activity, username and several other indicators suggest you have a conflict of interest with the article you edit, namely South West News Service. The policy on this suggests your refrain from editing articles where you have a vested interest. Rayman60 (talk) 13:24, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
I completely understand. However I want to be sure that the info about our company in the public domain is up to date and accurate. I was aware of the conflict of interest so have referenced every fact I made and kept my edit very brief. If there is another way I can achieve the same goal please let me know. Referencing is a separate issue - every statement by any editor has to be referenced. As for keeping the information up-to-date and accurate, you just have to trust the volunteer editors will do this. It's not a perfect system, but this way we can avoid bias and maintain neutrality. Read through the policy for clarification on what you can and can't do. You should declare your interest and refrain from editing the page yourself, and if there is a serious issue (e.g. libellous or false claim about the company), you can raise this with other editors to address and allow them to fix the article. It's all explained in the policy and you can ask for further assistance at the Teahouse. Rayman60 (talk) 20:04, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
