Thanks for the great welcome! I look forward to contributing to wikipedia and I am already enjoying myself. :) One question I do have. I would like to directly include the grave photo I linked to from James Avery (sailor) on the actual page. I contacted the photographer and he responded that we were welcome to use it. What is the procedure for getting an official release? The guy doesnt really have a web-site to speak of, he just submits photos to other sites. Do I just need an email saying he releases it under Creative Commons or GPL? Jhavery 21:03, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Howdy! I noticed that you'd created the James Avery (sailor) article and asked this question earlier this week. I'd hoped that someone more knowledgable would have gotten back to you by now. I did some searching around today, and found Wikipedia:Example requests for permission which hopefully will be helpful in answering your question. If it doesn't, then add {{helpme}} to this page. That will trigger a notice to a group of people who are more knowledgable than I am. Hope this helps, and welcome to Wikipedia! ~ BigrTex 21:53, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
